Also since he’s gone I just wanna say cmc was never a real leader for this team. Not his fault just the way he is. He has a similar personality to luke but luke was a damn fiery leader on the field. Shaq needs to be next. We need new leaders, new talent. Gotta figure out our identity. Jaycee and Icky are the future leaders imo but we need more.

I wanted to keep him but totally understand the reasoning.  This trade will probably put them in the drivers seat for the NFCW but stranger things have happened.

It's not a bad haul.  Remember LAR were in the conversation too and must have offered less.

Right now we have four picks in the first 3 rounds.  Fitterer better do  his homework and hit on all these picks.

We won't be able to assess this trade until we make those picks next April. Until then 1/2 of the Huddle is gonna bitch about the trade and the other half is going to praise it.  April will tell the truth for us.

Wow. This is what I wake up to? INSANE! Don't like not getting a first, but do like knowing we're giving up on the season and might get the first pick in the Draft.

My only complaint is, cool ... we'll get Stroud or Young ... but now we don't have a running game and our WR game is weak. We'll be like Jacksonville. But ... getting the QB is the start. Here's to ... 2025? That season is going to rock.

We were never competing next year as is. Unless we get super lucky that the qb we pick has immediate success this is gonna be about getting young and growing over the next 3 years. Draft playmakers that can grow with the new guy, protect him, get an offensive minded coach and see what happens. Honestly this just rejuvenated my faith in the org that they pulled the trigger knowing there would be massive backlash.

Only team that might’ve given up a 1st was the bills. You can look at this two ways. First they said lol no way because they are a well run org or two cmc didn’t wanna go to the bills which puts in question if he actually wants to win considering they are one of the best if not the best team in the nfl who has the best chance out of all the teams to win a Super Bowl.

It sucks that inept ownership and management has gotten us to this point where we have to trade away a generational talent. However, the multiple early round draft picks are a pretty damn good compensation and should give panthers fans some hope moving forward.

So we now have a very high 1st round draft pick (odds on favorite for the first overall, even before this went down), two 2’s (one potentially the 33rd pick), a third, 2 fourths, and a fifth. Our future looks a little brighter.

But it never really pays to be an optimist with this team. Fingers crossed that the football gods smile on us.

The return’s fine I’m just tired and disappointed in this team. My favorite players have all been let down by the organization eventually.

It was the right move given the circumstances but it’s hard to look forward to a rebuild when this team can’t get anything right. 2011 rebuild went ideal and they still came short.

I’m pretty sure we get the 32nd pick if we are the worse team because the dolphins forfeited their first for the Brady scandal.

Well....it's a start. Need to get a couple more day two picks

It's good ammo for a new HC. And fit could turn those into a few more.

If we end up getting the 1st pick overall the first in the second round will be great trade fodder to move down with and gain extras
