that's a myth. you could just as easily blame the defense for allowing 29 points and 450 yards of offense up to that point. or the offense for failing to convert on several critical first downs that would've put carolina up.

Kasay might have been the most visible cause, but to blame it on him is beyond absurd.

People forget the 50-yarder he nailed at the end of the first half.

The way Brady was hitting his receivers on that final drive, the extra 20 yards we gave them would not have mattered.

The Pats would have gotten the yardage needed to attempt the FG.

We failed on every single one of them, and if we would have just kicked extra points, it would have been 31-28 us leading before Vinatari went for that game tying FG, not game winning FG. It would have then gone into overtime tied 31-31 and who knows what would have happened.

How about being able to kickoff....has has a big salary to just nail 35 yard field goals. 3 kickers and 2 FB's just kills our depth. Of course....we do not need more than 3 WRs anyway.

Yeah but we got lucky to. Adam had one kick blocked and missed another. They shouldve had 6 points. Also add to that lucky squib kick before the half.

Also in defence of Kasay, didnt the patriots make it to the field goal spot so quick that they acutally kneeled it to take time off? Im higly cofident they wouldve made it from the thirty or twenty.
