Darnolds biggest issues were caused by a disastrous offensive line last year. We actually have a good unit this year. What a Panthers thing it would be for Sam to come in and win a few games, thrashing our hopes of the number one pick.

Middle of October and the QBs and DBs are all practice squadders already. Ahead of schedule this year. Vinny Testaverde should be starting by December.

With the Jets he was behind a terrible oline. Had Anderson as a wideout with basically a shitty group  around him.

CMC healthy which he used effectively untill the injury. Don't be suprised if he wins a few and dashes your dreams.

Vinny would be interesting but I don't think they allow walkers on the football field.  Vinny was ancient when he played in 2010 and wasn't mobile back than.

Can you imagine what the pundits and Huddlers would do if Sam (or even Eason for that matter) got hot and led us to a 9-2 or 8-3 finish and we somehow sneek into the playoffs? 

I don't know if the board would rally around him or want to try to run him out of town for messing the draft position.

Sam has never played behind a good O Line his entire career. This years Panthers offensive line will be by far the best he has ever played with statistically. Not even close.

Good to hear. I wish Sam well. Hopefully it's not a clusterf***. Minus seeing ghosts which leads to bad decisions, he's pretty competent in all other areas. I'd like to see a player get better and perform. It's nice winning games.

Sam sucks we agree but you're going to base Eason off a 1/2 a quarter.  Come on.  At least, give it a complete game with a week with the starting team before you trash him to the junk pile.  He's practice squad for a reason and expectations are pretty low.  Honestly, I'd rather take a good look at him going into the offseason.  We're going to need a competent backup. 

 

Eason has played more than half a quarter in the NFL.  Sam is awful, but he's probably better than Eason.  I never (and will never) made an argument for PJ.

Gotta think if McAdoo can show anything, it's that he took the job when Sam was the assumed starting QB. If he doesn't have any NFL quality plays for Darnold then might as well fire him and let the QB coach call the plays
