Ok, so now that we know 100% that QB will be our pick in rd 1.. Let’s talk about our 2nd biggest need, WR. Who do we love in the 2nd?

We've had such bad luck at QB I almost want them to double dip and go after that kid from coastal Carolina with a later round pick. Have him, Stroud/Young, and Corral all compete, someone has to be at least serviceable.

Beyond QB we need another DE to pair with burns or DT with brown, a MLB, and a TE.

Our D is good enough, I look at this draft as “re do” meaning, I don’t want us making the same mistakes with Stroud/Young that we made with Cam by not getting him help offensively and focusing too much on Defense in the Rivera/Gettleman days

our D isn't good enough...definitely not big and strong enough, esp. against power run teams.

we got fast and athletic....and skinny and weak thanks to the rhule/snow philosophy. this needs to be corrected.

If I had the #1 pick, I'd trade it for multiple picks. Who was the last #1 QB to win a trophy?

Technically Stafford just did it last year. But, I get your point. He was traded to SB contender in what should be the prime of his career. I'd expect him to do well in that environment. He never won a playoff game with the Lions, who drafted him. Before him, Peyton and Eli were both # 1 picks that were able to win titles with the teams that drafted them.

If you had a class like the 1983 (Elway, Kelly, O'Brien, Mario) or 2004 (E .Manning, Big Ben, Philip Rivers) I could see trading back to get one of these guys a little later in the top 10. But, none of the QB's inthis class seem like sure things to me, so I'd probably go with the guy that the organization feels the most comfortable with.

With the first pick in the 2nd round I would assume Fitterer will try trade back. Once, maybe twice if it stays within pick 50-55. Unless there is a player they have as a first round grade on, (top 16-18 player).

The impact of a WR in the second round havent been great. Not sure its better at other positions, but I rather pick at another position and sign a journey man that is proven to be average/ok.

I see what folks are saying about WR not being our biggest need, however, I want us focused on the offensive side of the ball. At all costs. We don’t need a LT or RT or RB but I want us to draft the QB first and then after that best available player at C, LG, RG, TE ( pass catching ) and WR. Give the young guy coming in every chance to succeed and we can figure out more of the defense as we go.

Or who knows, maybe the defense would look better if they weren’t constantly on the field?

WR is not our second biggest need. We need pass rushers and hog mollies on the dline. We also need a TE the can catch. But most of all we have to rebuild the qb room.

The tight end out of Georgia Darnell Washington would be very interesting. 6'7" man amongst boys.

He's big and would be great in the running game and can catch.
