NFL: Pats relationship with Mac Jones "gone sideways"

Now, the thought of trading for Jones is probably gonna cross someone's mind after hearing this, even if only for a moment.

I don't know that it should.

Why? Because what the Pats would ask is likely more than I'd actually believe he's worth.

Either way, when things are going "sideways" up in Patriot Land, it's always good for a chuckle

Trading for Jones doesn't seem like a prudent thing to do. I felt the Patriots running game and defense carried Jones more than Jones carried the team. They are getting pretty much the exact same results with Zappe Hour.

Absolutely not crossing my mind to trade for him. I am all aboard the CJ Stroud, Bryce Young train. But it certainly is interesting how fast their relationship seems to have deteriorated. This time last year they seemed to be an excellent fit for one another.

IMO, Zappe looks better than Jones.  It's only been a couple of starts but I like the way he has been playing.  I think NE nabbed another good QB in the latter rounds.

Jones wasn't a mistake as long as they had McDaniels. He was a great fit for that system.

With McDaniels gone, it changes a lot of things.

They took Zappe with our original 3rd round pick I believe.  So there's that.

The pats barely performed better with Mac than they did with Newton. 

clearly he worked well with mcdaniels, but he looked bad this season. Anyone wanting to trade for him is asking for more of the same.

In world where we get a new coach and draft a QB I can see us trading Corral next year even if it’s a low pick.

The patriots taking QBs with the intent to trade them later isn’t a bad strategy. People WILL trade for QBs…look at us lol
