My 'like to see's' would be..

1. Use CMC much more as a slot WR or a WR out of the backfield. Give the other RB's all the inside runs. Lets see what he can do at WR and save him for next season.

2. Cade Mays needs reps. Hes a boom or bust player. 

3. TMJ needs significant reps. 

4. Give Brandon Smith reps at OLB and DE. He is a physical Micah Perasons... lets see if we can create that. 

I agree on CMC. No need to run the crap out of him on a losing season. I also agree with TMJ and Smith, lets see what they got.

On the other hand, I see no real rush to test Mays. Corbett's contract all but guarantees he's our RG next season and Mays is on a cheapy cheap contract. There was camp talk about him at center, but no need to fug with an o-line that is finally playing well together by trying to force him into a new position.

WIlks is trying to win, I doubt he dials it back with cmac this season especially given what I watched on Sunday.

You know, that is correct.  CMC should be traded to a good team, such as the Bills.  We have some RB's that can use the development from more action.

1. Don't trade good players away without a ransom. We need the foundations of a team for the future. Unless the player has no future with us, hold onto them. It will make this year more watchable too. Imagine how horrible this team would be without McCaffrey. 

2. Play some of the young guys especially in places without a clear cut veteran presence. 4. Keep the QB carousel going. Get Darnold on the field the moment he's healthy. It will at least add intrigue to see if he can do anything with a decent offensive line and healthy McCaffrey. 

What do you say? Anything you hope to see or that would make watching our games worth your precious time on Sundays?

 

These are all really good points. The only thing I would like to add to this is a good general manager and a good coach. People who are smart at recognizing talent.

I don't think he's our franchaise QB, but if he has a good showing we might get something for him.

Its going to be 8 weeks into the season before we even see him.  Say he plays lights out for 3 weeks.  You envision a team trading anything for him with 2/3 of the season basically over?

 

Sam needs to ride the bench and never play again for us.  Its pointless.

Agreed.  

But you have to admit that if we want the #1 pick, maybe throwing this dunce out there wouldn't be the worst idea as far as that goes.   lol
