Do you think Tepper promised Wilks the permanent job if he loses out?

Or he saw his Arizona tenure and thought that’s a man that can guarantee the No 1 pick

I think that is what happened.  There were 3 coaches with HC experience, he chose the only one who tanked for the #1 pick.  When asked if Wilks could turn it around, Tepper laughed and then caught himself.

Wish it was the case but I think they’re that bad, that might have been the worst offensive game plan since the d will in wildcat formation the entire game vs the falcons years back….

It's worse. That team won the game.  This team was, well I don't know what it was.

Well, in my defense, I didn't know Wilks was part of the Flores lawsuit.

That being said...  I also don't care.  This thread was half in jest, because honestly, wtf do we have to talk about worth talking about anymore this season.  Our team fuging sucks and we have a fuging horrible owner.

We don’t need Wilks. Just the way he talks and how he carry’s himself screams “I’m a conservative, defensive minded head coach who plays not to lose instead of playing to win.”

I want a young and offensive mind for our next head coach considering we are absolutely drafting a QB no 1. Wilks ceiling is Jeff Fisher or at best John Fox and even that is being VERY generous.

    • That’s a book of the great life that the Panthers have had. So great to look back on the great players and seasons that we have had. But I think the book could have been twice the size. We have had a good 30 years, up and down the standings. i know we are in a bad spot right now, but hopefully before long we will be climbing back towards that Super Bowl championship
    • LmAO ..it does not make any sense whatsoever why a team that is currently 2-0 would  trade their backup Qb to a team that is 0-2 & in the same NFC conference ? & what is Seattle going to do if Geno Smith is injured ? wouldn't a team that is  currently 2-0 & is quiet  possibly going to the playoffs  want a decent plan B that already knows how to operate their system & has some form of chemistry with their players  , like I said before this is the NFL &teams especially ones like Seattle  are NOT going to trade their backup Qb 2 games into the regular season...just saying
    • Yeah, I can see that happening, but my only thing is, whoever he goes to, it's going to be a bad team. Not a whole lot of difference between us and say Denver, Jax, the Giants or the Colts. Of course, we're probably worse, but not by that much. Manning would have to pick his poison.
