Didn’t expect someone to bite on the trade quickly after Sunday’s shenanigans, but it was clear something had to give.  He was one of Rhule’s guys, legitimately has spoken glowing thinking about him at Temple, it’s clear he is very unhappy.

enjoy your new college coach, Robbie!

I’d be curious on the compensation.  Could be a Teddy type thing where we aren’t actually getting anything in reality

We basically got Robbie off the team and off the books.

Unless our scouting department gets miles better than what it has been and lightning strikes, that late round draft choice isn't going to be anything of value unless we can package it with another player a/o draft pick.

As for Robbie:  I understand he was frustrated, but he didn't handle it well at all.  He already lit into the fan base and then he blew up his Panther career (which I am sure he cares nothing about).

You don’t have to like Robby but there are a bunch of racist ass comments in here.

Oh I know I see them and I've seen them in the past and I've spoken up for Robbie because of it. His hair how he talks all that is only relevant to small minds that will not be swayed by any of us. But he's gone now so the mods might have to start cleaning some of that nonsense up tbh.

Yeah that’s what I’m guessing.  Seemed like we were bound to cut him anyways though, Wilks and basically everyone else was tired of the tomfoolery.  Even a 7th would be nice

Shaq will either be cut or restructured.

And Elflien is the only other guy that really saves us anything

An extension of Burns would save double digit millions as well. DJ will most likely get a restructure. I would assume if the Panthers arent trading Burns or CMC this year, extensions will be lined up. I could see T-Mo also getting restructured.

There is a lot of cap flexibility since there are really just 4 players eating our cap next year.

With Rhule gone, the late round picks could be more valuable. Its obvious Rhule was given control of late round picks and UDFAs as you can tell thats where most of the Baylor/Temple players he selected came from.

Yeah. I didn’t want to sign him to a second contract.

I get his frustration. This was basically a contract year for him and we’ve had barely any offense this year. I’m happy he gets another chance somewhere else with a good qb and it’s good for us as far as cap and the future.

    • Best to see Icky in the position we drafted him in to see if he continues making progress. All signs point to Canales/Morgan staying on board and so decisions on whether to move him elsewhere on the line will probably be done during the offseason. Personally, I'm more concerned about a more long-term answer at safety and Moton's spot. Love the guy but he's a FA after 2026 and he'll be 32 by then. Kinda has that sign of having to let a player walk one year too early.
    • All I am saying is IMO if we were going to rework or extend his deal I think it would have happened by now.   Just feels like they are going to bite the bullet and let it run its course
    • I mean me speaking honestly per normal- RT is not even on my radar for needing fixing....it sorta should be, but I feel its around 20s in "hey this need attention". Motown could have another 5 years of solid play leftd in his body and mind. I know something needs to done with his contract, its had money pushed back into the late years like three times now. He got like a 38 million cap number cause rhule, frittterererer and this past season Dan deferred money.  I think he's been "healthy" for most of his career and seems to work hard at being able to play. He's a good player to have on the team. I got no idea how this plays out.   We need to have friendly bet about Christs next contract- I say he gets 8million per and 40% guaranteed. If he gets below that, you are the true kungfu master- deal?
