I'm not familiar enough with the names, but here's a couple of qualities I think we need to look at in the next coach:

1. QB development - I want a coach who has experience molding young QBs in to + starters.

2. Offensive Acumen - That goes without saying, we need a coach who brings an Xs and Os advantage to our team.

3. Adaptability - I'd love to find a coach who is much more open to being offensively flexible with their system and who is able to make adjustments at half time.  That seems to be a really big ask.

There's still a lot of season to go, so we'll see what happens the rest of the way to a lot of these current names.

Steichen fits all 3.

Jones reports here that Tepper has "looked at the landscape of the league" in considering what to do going forward.

I'd call that good news.

I'm not comfortable with Tepper involved with anything.  The next thing I want to hear is that Tepper is seeking out advice from Kevin Colbert to evaluate his team. Then we can discuss which direction this team needs to go.

I've seen doctors who couldn't balance checkbooks, teachers who can't figure out their voicemail and engineers who are baffled by simple cooking recipes.

Being really good at one particular thing (like making money) doesn't guarantee you're good at everything.

And a quick look at the NFL, including the Panthers, would tell you pretty clearly it sure as hell doesn't guarantee you know anything about football.

It also doesn't mean an offensive guru will be a great head coach.

    • Game film doesn't shows that Bryce struggled in the redzone as much as his teammates failed to execute (or the opposing defense just flat out steps up). He might not be a threat to take it 60yds while stiff arming and shaking defenders, but he's shown more than enough to convert a first on a 10+ yard scramble.
    • 1 more win maybe.  Could also see no more wins.  Take best qb available in draft or trade back for more pics take best qb available.
    • For me to go to a game and bring someone and sit in my seats it costs about 500 dollars just for the tickets. That’s before I drive two hours both ways, parking, etc. so I have to work 4-5 hours just to sit down.  I can’t drink because I can’t risk my licenses, so I have to white knuckle it.  and my schedule is set up three months in advance, so it’s a huge pain in my ass and the ass of other providers to schedule off a Sunday.  and this is on top of all the other things I can’t do because I have to commit an entire day of the week to it.  You and I have far different obligations, life situations, responsibilities, etc. you think not supporting David Tepper makes me a bad fan, but I think it makes you a mark.  if you want to turn this into a contest about who’s gone to more home games for worse teams, I promise I beat you. Just at this point in my life there’s better things for me to spend my time and energy on than watching David Teppers wife’s vanity project in person.  Cool you got to watch the worst team in NA sports lose again in person. I’m spending a week in Norway in February and redoing my kitchen.  we’re not the same, buddy.
