What is worst for Fox?

If Moore plays really well and we win a few more games, I think it's going to make Fox look even worse. Fox's actions up to this point indicate that he does not feel Moore is ready to be a starting QB in the NFL, so if Moore plays well then it demonstrates that Fox is a poor evaluator of talent.

If fox can get this team to play hard. There is a slim chance he keeps his job.

gantt talks about this here

It's not much, but it's December, and the team is 4-7. It's actually interesting, from the standpoint of the narrative of the season, because even when the Panthers have been down they have been significant into Week 16 and 17. Not this year, and that's the first test of coach John Fox.

Matt Moore = Dereck Anderson.

Moore will probably play semi-decent. They will rely heavily on the run game and just ask him to make simple throws to keep D's honest. Maybe stretch the field once or twice a game. The Panthers are liable to win 2 out of 4 games, mostly because I think NE's D is porous and Double Trouble will expose it.

Everyone is going to be excited that Moore doesn't look like complete poo and will want him re-signed. The only saving grace is that he is a RFA so hopefully we won't have to give him any real money. Next year he will get the start and we will suck because we have a shitty QB, hopefully McCown will still be here and we can fall back on him.

I'm not a Jake Delhomme apologist or supporter. He is done and the team needs to move on. I just don't think that Moore is worth a damn. The team needs to go in a completely different direction.
