Jacob Eason… Come on down. Thoughts on his limited play?’

Here I go again, getting my hopes up yet again only to likely be let down when he plays next week and throws like 4 picks.. But man, I would be lying if I said he didn’t look miles better than PJ. Yes against a soft, garbage time defense but even still, 6 foot freaking 6 and he was slinging darts, it wasn’t only that but he seemed to pass the eye test, looked comfortable and not scared and showed good poise in the pocket.

Just some perspective, he basically had more passing yds (or close to it) in 30 seconds then PJ had all game.

Guy looked pretty in control for being close to sitting on the couch a few weeks ago and thrown late into a losing game against last years sb champs.  Looks like he has a rocket of an arm.  The int didnt help the sale though. This season is lost anyway so I see no reason not to start him next week just to see what he has.  As a backup he almost has to be better than pj.

Yes but he's Ohio State.

That's a huge negative.

Who gives a poo. He was a top high school recruit that went to a talented team and put up great numbers like he was suppose to. You bring this up and we go in circles.
Auburn before Cam, LSU before Burrow, Oregon before Herbert, Tennessee before Manning, Texas Tech before Mahomes. The college doesn’t make the player.

Oh and don’t draft Levis because Kentucky produced Couch, The Hefty Lefty, and Cobb had to become a WR in the NFL.

    • I expect Nix to…. wait. A better way to put it is I don’t expect him to fail because of his obvious physical shortcomings, relative to playing NFL QB    Yeah he is a rookie. Again. Okay, see the cope there? One thing has not changed. Young has a fraction (3/4, maybe?) of what these others have as far as a downfield game; no one is afraid he will throw it over their heads and they play him that way. And this is reflected in the way the offense is called, also. This is big deal but no let’s ignore it.  You can see the difference in the offense immediately with Dalton. it is so elemental to football but people want to stay blind to it because they like Bryce or whatever other reason.
    • Yeah by joke, you mean sarcasm...clearly meant to imply that you think this is evidence of the Giants tanking.
    • What numbers would Bryce have to put up in these next 7 games for you to really believe he deserves another year? We had this discussion in the barbershop today with die hard but non homer fans we came up with 225+ passing yards in 4 out of 7 games. With 3 out of 7 games with 2+ TDs. We could use a little more passing yards to show he can get it done but with Chubba rushing like he is and if Brooks comes in and contributes unlike Miles that should take away passing opportunities but we still need him to hit these benchmarks to stay on the team in my opinion. I need serious replies to what's it going to take the last 7 games from the former number one overall pick to be our QB next year?
