What's worse: Saints going 16-0 or Panthers going 4-12?

4-12 season by far.. what makes people think that everyone will respect a 16-0 season if they fail in playoffs?

last time I checked, every single patriots game the announcers bring up their 16-0 season, and lead up to a "and then that loss to the Giants in the superbowl.."

Regular season doesn't mean SHIT if you don't get a championship out of it.

I'm not going to begrudge the success of another team. The 'Aints have been bad for so long that I have no problem with them tasting some success! I actually pull for the other division teams if they make the playoffs when we don't, we know them better than anyone, and vice versa. We haven't done anything this year, we haven't earned anything. They have. Let them enjoy it and go with it!

I think it would be quite intriguing if the 'Aints stay undefeated, and the Colts do too! Assuming that continued thru the playoffs, imagine THAT Super Bowl, with TWO undefeated teams! I don't think that's going to happen, I believe both teams will lose a game or two, if nothing else because they will face that "do you rest your starters?" dilemma over the last couple games or so of the regular season. But that would still be something to see, both teams undefeated in the SB!

I pick the Saints going 16-0, because really, what's the difference between 7-9, 6-10, 5-11, and 4-12? None of those records are going to make the playoffs (and they are likely where our team will end up) If anything a 4-12 record gets us a higher draft pick in the 2nd and other rounds to give us a shot at getting more impact players. To be clear, this is not the same as me saying that I want us to go 4-12 (since I know some people will read as such).

And once again, let me restate: ask a player if there is a difference between losing out and winning one or two games to end the season. If you had asked the 2001 Panthers in Week 13 if they would rather finish 1 and 15 or watch the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl, any of them would have traded their left nut for one more win.

I would think that you going 4-12 would be worse than us going 16-0...I mean that would put you what, 12 games behind?

But you're not asking players - you're asking Panther fans who post on the huddle. There is a difference.
