No idea how this is going to turn out today. On paper, we should get killed.

In reality, LA has major problems with their offensive line, we have a guy who knows every one of their weaknesses and a lot of their playbook and has extensive practice experience against Donald and co.

We may also have completely different play calling on both the offense and defense.

We might surprise some folks. Or we might get steamrollered.

Either way, it's game 1 without Rhule and that's a step in the right direction. I hope Wilks has a great showing today.

Also, not sure if this has been said, besides the injuries for the Rams-Oline is a mess-they are on their 4th center-there is also some dysfunction.  Cam Akers not playing because he does not like the way he has been used. He and the coach not getting along.  A good time to get the Rams.

As they should. How in the hell did the NFL not make that a primetime game? That was a serious scheduling mistake.

Gotta make room for their Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.  They aren't complete poo this year so they get that slot.

When you have two of the best teams in the league scheduled for a non-divisional match up you gotta take advantage of that. No way that shouldn't have been the Sunday night or Monday night game. fug putting it on Thursday night. Those games almost always suck.

I just don't think we have the personal to compete. We are almost as banged up as they are. Even at 100% we would struggle.

I think the truth is that we pretty much just suck. Maybe the team will rally around Wilks and put together a decent game or two or maybe they'll realize the white flag has been flown and mail it in as a team and just try to put the best individual film on tape that they can. If we get our asses kicked today it's gonna get really ugly down the stretch. If Wilks can't get the team to rally around him this will likely be the nail in the coffin for him ever getting another HC shot.

    • I forgot about Jackson...definitely elite.  The sad part of your list is that 2 of them were 'there for the taking for the Panthers'.  Rumor has it that Hurney loved Herbert and was vetoed on trying to trade up.  And rumor has it that Frank & McCown wanted Stroud.  I believe both rumors.
    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
