I was on the tank bandwagon, but after looking more further, I say we just roll with Corral and draft BPA.

Again, it doesnt work like that in the NFL.  It just doesnt.  No crippled 3rd round developmental guy is going to get the same opportunity as a top5/10 first round pick.   If you have an example I would be glad to research but I suspect you are just talking out of your ass

I actually made this point months ago in a post. Every year we see players at other positions get drafted late and blossom when given the opportunity. Some players excel even if they are undrafted. Teams are willing to let a late rounders/UDFA's compete for a starting job at every position but QB.

Too much capital is tied up in a first round pick to have him sit. If you have 1st and 3rd-4th round QB's on the same team you're automatically going to give #1 every chance to win the job. If flames out you're likely going to be picking in the top of the draft again. The new guy taken in the first round will once again be given the chance to start. Low round guys have low cap hits and are easy to replace. I bet there are a quite a few of guys who have fallen thru the cracks down thru they years that could have been competent, if not great, QB's in the NFL because of lack of opportunity.

I don't believe anyone is or ever was concerned about Baker starting over Corral--no one serious. Once Baker was signed, it was a done deal. I also don't believe that anyone is concerned with drafting a QB. I halfway expect it. My point is that Corral will get just as much of an opportunity as anyone that we draft, though some Huddlers just assume that he won't. I'm saying that any coach worth his weight in gold is going to let Corral legitimately compete.

He will get an opportunity, but if our new staff drafts their top choice with our top pick, it’s hard to believe they won’t favor that pick with such a high investment. Corral should stay on the roster because he is a cheap option at a premium position with upside.

Is he Wentz before or after the injuries? It's easy to forget that Wentz was a legit MVP candidate at his best.

Wentz was on a great Eagles team that propelled Nick Foles to a superbowl mvp so take your pick. Wentz was always Wentz. Put him on a mediocre to bad team and he really looks bad.

What they can or can't do with Matt Corral will either make or break the next coach interview.

He's the only QB signed for next year. A top prospect and invited to the draft because of it. He fell, yes. It doesn't change his pedigree. That's who your going to see.

Will Anderson or  Miles Murphy step on up!

Cam Newton wasn’t even the clear choice the year we drafted him. First round QB’s are a gamble, but you have a much better chance of finding your franchise guy in the draft over a QB in free agency or trade. We see how that has worked out since Cam for us

Exactly. Especially subtracting high value FAs who do not want to play for this trash franchise. Despite statistics and obvious evidence, this appears to be a challenging thought for some huddlers; kind of mind boggling.

We'll see Wilks is bringing that old school back.
