I think this is more than likely the most likely option. I dont see Moore lighting it up with the brutal 4 games left after the bucs this week. But I think he's solid enough to play well enough to make it to camp next year with a chance to win the job in camp... We shall see.

We don't need a Peyton Manning. We just need him to be solid. Do enough to keep the defense honest.

I cannot count how many of Jakes interceptions were deep passes just not throw deep enough. I know the second pick he threw, Smitty had Revis by a step and a half. If that ball is throw deep enough Revis gets used by Smitty. If Moore can get it deep enough, which I believe he can, he will prove he is our next QB. At least going into camp next season as the #1 but giving McCown a chance to compete.

I would say draft a QB anyhow, and allow him to understudy a year or so. Unless he is one of those sure fire starters (which I doubt we get)

Moore, McCown and draft pick with H. Cantwell filling the 4th spot in camp.

when we get a new head coach delhomme will not be our starter in my opinion..i don't think any other coach would ever start jake after what hes done this season..

most likely jake will stay next year unless he retires.

IF there is changes at HC, I bet we cut Jake before his roster bonus. They may end up re-signing him to compete for a job, but they won't keep him on with his salery.

If they do cut Jake and don't care about the hit, It's up to Moore whether they keep him or McCown as 3rd string next year. Cause I think if they go that route, they bring in a starting caliber veteren QB AND draft one. Then itll be open competition for the starting QB spot.

Most of the "signing bonus" in Jakes extension, is in form of a roster bonus this spring. At least, that's the way I remember it when it finially became public.
