I don’t hate looking at QB’s, but people need to compare tape of these guys to Corral’s tape.

Corral wasn’t 3rd round because he isn’t talented. The narrative of “weak QB class” took over, along with “he got hurt” and “he’s a drunk!” BS.

The tape I’ve seen from some of the top guys in this class…well I’ll just say Matt is just as talented so far.

I would love a pass rusher, LB, TE/WR, more OL in the 1st. Sign a vet bridge QB if you don’t want to start Corral right away.

Outside of being 6’5”, Corral has all the tools to work with and develop.

I agree, and he's already here. While OUR priority may be drafting a QB, the Panthers have already done their homework on Corral predraft brought him to the facility predraft as a potential 1st round pick where he met the coaches, owner, saw the facilities.

Matt Corral to the Panthers to them was a foregone conclusion and when he was surprisingly there on the third, they went all in on getting him here.

We're drafting a DE.

Get ready everybody.

Corral hasd trouble staying healthy in college and immediately gets hurt in the NFL.  I wouldn't go all in on a 3rd round QB from the previous staff, who hasn't shown he can stay healthy.  I think we should keep in and let him compete with whoever we draft.  At worst he can be a cheap backup.

-I'm thinking 1 is Stroud, top 5 is Levis, outside of the top 10 we can look at Ward, McCall, or Penix.  I wouldn't be against trading down if we can't get Stroud.

No, not really. In your ratings you seem to place a premium on running.

I speak to their running ability yes.  Pocket maneuverability & mobility matters.  Running ability can be an added plus (but depends), but of course, what can they do above their d*ck and between their ears is the most important.

But don't come in here with the whole 1999 running QB vs. pocket argument.  Just stop while you're ahead.

they’re not taking a QB, they JUST used a 2nd on clausen

they need to fortify those hog Molly boys and get some trenches and #beef #meat #toughness and take a safe sure thing Alabama defensive lineman like that dareus kid

Yeah especially that “running” QB from Auburn.

I liked Corral but he had health issues and he was IRed here before the year could even start. I hope he can contribute but that basket should not get all of the eggs.

We will be drafting a QB from this class. If they bust then Corral can step up or we can draft another one in 2024. That is priority #1 for the roster moving forward. People are trying to make this class look like the last one and even I can see that is BS. Probably going to need a strong offensive crew outside of Stroud for support and coaching so all the talk about potential defensive HCs gives me a headache.

Jalen is built like a rock though. Bryce Young is going to destroyed when he gets hit in this league. Bryce Young is nowhere near what his measurables state on ESPN.com (6' 194)... Id think he is more 5'11 170. Its terrfying how small he is.

This is a photo of him with Tyler Harrell who is listd to be the exact same height and size as Young.....
Bryce Young, Alabama, Quarterback

Dug it up from an older clip, Todd McShay says scouts this summer measured Young just over 5'10, 186...

So realistically, he's 5'10 185 but lean, not thick like Russ/Kyler.

Great breakdown by the 33rd team, they're pretty conflicted in chatting about it.  Rich Gannon and Doug Pederson have some good thoughts.  Could probably beef up to 195/200 but yep, 5'10 195 is still small, and he's lean.  Big risk involved but he's got talent.  Question being, can he live to the next down?

You don't think it's Stroud?  Also who do you like?  Just curious...

I dont think it's Stroud. Justin Fields was the expected number 1 all year long until he had that game against Winsconsin, that was the begining of his stock plummeting.

Stroud has had tremendous talent at OSU and very rarely faced adversity. I do like his throwing motion.... much better than what we saw from Fields. Stroud does have the ability to drive the ball to the sidelines as well. His accuracy is borderline great as well.

The thing that sticks out to me about Stroud that is concerning is that he has built his college resume with elite talent around him. His recievers last year were Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, that is insane. This year he has Marvin Harrison Jr and Egbuka. It's wild how much talent is around him at the WR position. If you watch footage on CJ, he isnt making throws that are beating the defense, he is throwing to WRs that are beating the defense. It's so hard to judge QB talent out of OSU, because they are just so far ahead of the rest of their competition talent wise. All 3 of his top recievers are averaging over 15 yards per catch, becasue of how open they are on deep routes. CJ isnt a tactician or field general... he is a talented QB that is able to get the ball to even more talent skill players.

Asking what I like right now isnt going to be the same when it comes draft time, but at this current moment I am on the Levis train. However, based on how he performs against Tenneesee and Georgia could completely change my mind on him.

Lastly, I havent been paying much attention to Cam Ward, but I will be now after reading comments in this thread.
