I honestly get the feeling they wouldn't have made this move this early in the season if they didn't think we could turn things around this year.

Firing your coach less than a third of the way into the season isn't a great advertisement to your next coach, so I don't know why else you'd do it now.

If the next coach has a win percentage under .300 in Yr 3 he'd expect to be fired too.

It would be one thing to say "since starting out 3-0 in 2021......"  But paring down the data to do that every year is, well, dubious.  His numbers are bad enough they don't need any help.
