I am really tired of the Peppers bashing, it is getting ridiculous. The guy has been playing with a broken hand, and has absolutly no help on the defensive line. Jared Allen has Pat and Kevin Williams while Dwight Freeny has Mathis to help take the pressure off. As you saw when Peppers was only playing with on passing downs you saw we had absolutly zero pass rush. Sporting News just came out with a poll taken by NFL player, and one question was who is the hardest player in the game to game plan against. Julius Peppers was on that list and Dwight Freeney was the only other DE on that list.

Get over it.

He is a low motor guy, who is highly inconsistent.

Could not agree any less, this guy has been playing with a broken hand. Obviously Jerry Richardson, Hurney, and Fox see something in him that they would risk so much on him. The guy is a freak athlete who would be appreciated on any other team. Once again this just proves how terrible the Carolina Panthers fan base is. I am from New Jersey but go to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Every winter break I get blessed to go to games and be surrounded by real fans, and know what they are talking about. Passionate fans who know about football. Unlike the Bank of America business people who fill up half of the stadium and leave during the middle of the third quarter no matter what. They also boo at halftime up 41 or down 41.

I was just at the Jets Panthers game over thanksgiving break and the fans were constantly gushing over Peppers hoping to sign him next offseason guy is a freak. I guess the players who took the sporting news poll know less then people on this forum. If he was so low motored and inconsistent why do they take so long to game plan for him?

His whole career ?

Obviously Jerry Richardson, Hurney, and Fox see something in him that they would risk so much on him. The guy is a freak athlete who would be appreciated on any other team.

Yes the hoards of trade offers that poured over Charlotte clearly illustrate that.

Once again this just proves how terrible the Carolina Panthers fan base is.

Yes pointing out the obvious is annoying I admit that.

I am from New Jersey

You got kicked out of New Jersey ? I see now

but go to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

They take GED's?

Every winter break I get blessed to go to games and be surrounded by real fans, and know what they are talking about. Passionate fans who know about football.

You go to SEC football games ?

Unlike the Bank of America business people who fill up half of the stadium and leave during the middle of the third quarter no matter what. They also boo at halftime up 41 or down 41.

This is new and original...

I was just at the Jets Panthers game over thanksgiving break and the fans were constantly gushing over Peppers hoping to sign him next offseason guy is a freak.

Yes the Jets are known for their keen eye for talent.....

I guess the players who took the sporting news poll know less then people on this forum.

Thats entirely possible...

If he was so low motored and inconsistent why do they take so long to game plan for him?

Lets see, game plan for Pep.

Watch first series.. see if he gives a f**k this game.. if he does double team, if he doesn't put in backup LT. WOOHOO I AM A NFL OC!!!!!!!!!!

most of Kurbs responses were irrelevant and do not make sense so I am not going to respond. If you read articles and listen to coaches around the league they absolutly gush over this guy.

Jon Gruden constantly has said that Peppers gave him nightmares when he was coaching. Then there was a O-linemen on the Saints last year who said that the Panthers need to give Peppers whatever he wants, he is that good. People b itch and moan how he doesnt have the numbers of Allen or Freeny, but the two of them are no where near Peppers when it comes to playing the run. Neither of the two of them can drop into coverage and cover skill players. I dont know man, Panther fans kill me sometimes. For example how unecessary it is to bring up Peppers in a negative way in a Jake Delhomme thread.

If Peppers had the desire of 17 he would be the greatest DE in history.

If Jake had the skill, to match his own desire he would be the greatest, average QB.

Which he did...and was, and nowhe isn't anymore...but what's the big deal? I don't blame him, but seriously overall he isn't more than average and never was. He took us to a super bowl which I am thankful for...but to say 'he' took us in any shape or form is false.

Of course the stats that are somehow still allowed to tally up at this point will drop him to more of a below average fluke QB.

I I guess you are right. Fox should be blammed. Jake can sit there all day and tell them whatever they want to hear but in the end they are paid to judgment skill level and who ends up in the game.

I wonder what Jake would say if you asked him if he thought he should start, if he thought he had the best chance to win etc. etc.

I wonder if Jake Delhomme will ever start another NFL game...

Great video.

Exactly what I was thinking... but what team would take him and start him? I just can't think of any. I'll take him quick for 3rd string though no doubt.

Julius Peppers is right now ranked number 11 in the league in sacks. And remember he has been playing with a broken hand and in some games has played in only half the plays.

1. Elvis Dumervil: unfair to judge he is in a 3-4

2. Jared Allen: Kevin and Pat Williams have a combined 8.5 sacks to help take off the load of him. Also Ray Edwards on the other side has 6 sacks which really helps Allen. Does not really have to face double teams.

3. James Harrison: 3-4

Will Smith:Anthony Hargrove and Charles Grant have a combined 7.5 sacks and Sedrick Ellis has really been coming into his own.

5. Dwight Freeney: both Freeney and Mathis take the pressure off eachother and help avoid double teams.

Robert Mathis

Trent Cole: tons of depth on the line and are in a scheme with constant blitzing. Take aways Cole's sacks and the Eagles D-Line still has 15.5 sacks.

8. Andre Carter: Andre Carter had been garbage until he played alongside Haynesworth.

9. Antwan Odom: Bengals D-line has 12 sacks taking away Odoms, and Odom really only had one game against the Packers.

Demarcus Ware: 3-4

11. Julius Peppers: Brayton, Thomas, Brown, Lewis, and Johnson have a combined 9 sacks compared to Julius' 7.5. Without Julius it is obvious how little pressure they get.
