Seems like a made up rule unless something changed. Didn't Antonio Gates technically have to go undrafted before the Chargers could sign him? -
You know, taking a QB this year (to be the starter) means you are likely not drafting one in 2026. It seems teams like the Colts, Giants, Raiders, Saints, Steelers (possibly) are positioning themselves to take a QB next year. I don't know what Cleveland is doing--Pickett? Stephanski can't assume he has 2 years to turn it around. I do have a brother in law who lives in Columbus--a chiropractor and OSU grad, and he tells me that people were talking about Howard to the Browns in round 2 or so, but that is when everyone was giddy about winning the title.
