We could get the Eagles OC or 49ers DC and yet we would go after Mr. 28-3.

Look on the bright side:  they had 28 points in the middle of the third quarter.  Our current brain trust takes almost two games to get to that point!

I'd personally rather take a swing at an up-and-coming NFL coordinator (a risk, but not as much of a risk as another college guy with a Process/system).  But I'd rather bring Rivera back than another swing at a Rhule/Kelly/whoever is the latest college coach everybody is drooling over.  Not only can Tepper not know how to figure out who in that group might work out, I don't think anybody can.

While I don't think Quinn would be a terrible hire and he's been to a Super Bowl, it just feels like he'd be sort of a Ron Rivera redux. I'd prefer to go for some new blood. I'm warming up to the idea of DeMeco Ryans as HC and him bringing along someone from the Shanahan tree to be his OC.

DeMeco Ryans is a good DC and would love to bring that attitude he has here, but we really need an offensive mind to run this team.  I'd rather lose our DC than our OC if we do well.

I think the hard part is who.  So many OCs that have talented QBs which makes them look like geniuses but then when they get hired as a head coach and have a mediocre or less QB.  They struggle.

I mean what happened to Dan Quinn in ATL? Does anyone know? I didnt follow them close enough during his tenure.... but he did take them to the super bowl with Matty ice at QB.

@Mr. Scot any observations on your side?

Blew a 28-3 lead in the superbowl. 43-42 career record. Kept his job a year or two longer than he should have because of going on a late season win streak when they were basically out of playoff contention. He's quite a bit like Ron Rivera in that regard.

More importantly, his last game that he coached for the Falcons he lost to Matt Rhule, I don't think that's a coincidence. More details are below.

He did, but lost it in spectacular fashion.

Honestly, I'm not sure he ever recovered from that.
