Pretty good sign that Moore will be starting

Welp... you can look at my avatar and see I'm one of the few remaining Jake supporters (not really though). I really wish that Moore was the future, but I just don't buy it. The coaching staff obviously evaluated the QB's and felt that Moore wasn't even good enough for the 2nd string backup spot when McCown was around (and you want to talk about losers... McCown couldn't manage a damn decent season when he had two of the best WR's in the league...give me a break. Like he could possibly help us). I call shenanigans on Moore being any part of the future of the Panthers.

That being said, I'm mixed about who should start against the Bucs. Delhomme KNOWS the Bucs very well and if healthy, should perform at least sufficiently against them. You put Moore in there, ugh, I don't know.

Regardless, I'll be at BoA Sunday to find out!!

P.S. I am no longer a Jake supporter. I held out as long as I could, but his play on the field is just atrocious. It seems that nowadays, the NFL is only for elite QB's. Those who are elite can take their teams deep into the playoffs. Running and defense only won't win you anything anymore. So long, Jake. I loved your fire back in the day, but your day is now over. :( Time for the Panthers to develop a future QB.

Moore came in against ARI, and his first throw was JUST short of the TE

So much for being the number 2 still and not knowing the playbook

Ehhh.....I wouldn't say he doesn't know the playbook on that one. It just one throw he did. I want to see him play a whole game more than one time to tell if he can be the future or not.

Then it sounds like you were never a truly supporter to begin with.

I know you were, I'm just calling B.S. on your reasoning. Just say you were wrong; you don't need an excuse for why you supported him. No one does.

yup, I supported Jake cuz he was the QB of my team. Now I support Moore cuz he is the QB this week...

I don't think it has anything to do with the confidence of the coaching staff in Moore. I think it is stubbornness of Fox that kept Moore on the bench. You don't go 2-1 against 3 playoff teams and suck. If I had to judge by what he did in pre-season and what he did in realtime game situations I would have to lean on real time games. Preseason Moore isn't working with the #1 offense he is working with guys trying to find a spot. There aren't game plans in pre-season either.

I think one of our keys is the deep pass. If Moore can consistently throw the deep pass, without UNDER throwing it. It will soften up the running game. Jake deep passes float and fall short.

MY Money is on Moore I think he will do just fine.

Go Panthers
