Pretty good sign that Moore will be starting

As long as he's not turnover prone. Interceptions have destroyed our season. Manage the game and run the ball, the defense has a shot.

INTs aren't that bad every once in awhile....Jake's are just pick 6's and game killers. There is no such thing as a good pick but Jake's have been brutal.

I hope that Moore works out and turns into a stud but I just don't think it is going to happen. This is the same way the whole Wienke thing went down. Everyone screaming for Fox to start Wienke, suddenly Delhomme breaks a finger, Wienke starts, everyone starts screaming to start Jake again.

Yes, that's the thing. I thought I heard a stat that Brett Favre has thrown three picks all year. Jake has thrown enough to last a lifetime.

Moore is going to get picked. Every QB does.

Likewise, every receiver drops passes.

Every O-Lineman gets beat for a sack.

Every DB gets faked out of his shorts.

Every linebacker or DL gets run over.

And so on...and so on...

It's going to happen. You just have to hope it isn't really bad, game changing or frequent.

Anyone hear of a radio interview Dan Morgan gave saying that Moore doesn't know the playbook? A buddy of mine told me that today via e-mail, and said that several Panther players told him (Morgan) that. I find that hard to believe, and I haven't personally ever seen anything like that reported on these blogs, which appear to be on top of pretty much everything Panthers related. Again, anyone know of this?

Thanks..

Moore came in against ARI, and his first throw was JUST short of the TE

So much for being the number 2 still and not knowing the playbook

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Moore this Sunday, I can't say the same about Jake. Moore has a good arm and he makes his checks quick, but I think he'll be lacking as far as timing with our 1's.
can't be much worse than what we have so far.

i think that's what they are hoping will happen and then jake, given a week or two off, will get his head straight.

only in most situations the offending party would have been benched long ago if it was frequent.

I honestly think if Josh McCown hadn't been hurt, Delhomme would have been benched much earlier in the season.

For whatever you think of Fox's evaluation skills, it's fair to say that most coaches are way more willing to go to their backup than they are the third stringer.

Or when people thought Carr was brought in to replace Jake in the future, Jake goes down, they have that stupid "Here's David Carr" song, and we ended up crossing our fingers that a 40 year old's back is good enough to throw a football because we didn't want the one with the gloves to do it.

I just hope that Moore demonstrates enough that at the least, he's a capable backup that can fill in when required.

i agree. that decision to IR mccown was one of the worst ones this year.

i'm hoping that he will be given a fair chance to start next year.

Okay, I missed that part :sosp:
