Burns is a solid DE but I don’t think every DC in the NFL would want him.  Not at his cap space.  Depends what you want to be on D. 

Rumor is that Burns doesn't want to stay (at least not under Rhule).

Even setting that aside though, he's likely still a better fit for a 3-4 team.

With the significant injury to Javonte Williams and knowing the Broncos are wanting to compete now while we need a tank/rebuild...

Broncos get:

Christian McCaffery

 

Panthers get:
Javonte Williams

2024 1st Round Pick

 

This would be a win/win if McCaffery helps the Broncos make a deep playoff push. In 2024, we would have some cap savings, a stud RB on a cheap contract (if healthy), plus an extra 1st rounder to build around.

@TheBigKat brother look up them dead cap figures......those about kill any trades this year.......DJ is around 40+ and CMC is 20ish off my mind...

coming off-season is much better, still bad overall tho....
