Is it fair to discuss trading CMC / DJ

When I say a rebuild that doesn’t mean 100% of the roster gone.  Icky fits a rebuild.

Burns is a solid DE but I don’t think every DC in the NFL would want him.  Not at his cap space.  Depends what you want to be on D.

You need a player at every level. We have that. We could be better for sure but how Rivera left this roster it's not bad. This roster was trash after Rivera departed especially the defense and more or less has been rebuilt with some good young players. That's why Rhule needs to go and a real NFL HC needs to take over. We just need to complete the rebuild. Players like Shaq and Robbie need to go and would give us some cap relief. CMC and DJ are pretty much not cut or tradible but still least they are good players.

The next coach may need to because somehow we're -$20M in cap space next year and have this to work with in the draft lol. What a horrible 3 years

Not really sweating about the loss of the 6th and 7th round picks. It would be nice to have a 3 since that appears to be a top 100 choice next year. I am concerned about that cap figure. Are we really $20 mil over the cap? I don’t see how hats possible with the roster we have.

Depends how far you think this team is from competing… I personally feel like this team could compete with a top QB (which at this point they are on track to get) and a good coaching staff.

Trading CMC and Moore for what would amount to early second round picks at the absolute best would set the franchise back further than what it already is. You aren’t replacing those two players with the picks that you are acquiring. This also isn’t a situation like Green Bay and Kansas City went through with their high end players. Those two teams have QB’s in place to withstand losses like that.

I feel like that having CMC and Moore would be a Godsend for a young QB.

My only hope is that we continue to suck due to our coaching staff and QB play and we get a shot at Stroud.

Would you rather have Stroud or Bryce?

It's looking like -10 now for whatever reasons, but a lot of money tied up in mid vets.

I prefer Stroud, I’ve watched him a lot and I think his NFL trajectory will be similar to Herbert’s.

Cristobal didn’t really allow Herbert to use his legs in college and many kind of feel like Day might be asking Stroud not to run either. In my opinion, Stroud is definitely mobile and I think we’ll see it at the next level.

Both QB’s are extremely accurate but I think Stroud is slightly more accurate and I like his intermediate throw percentage a tad better than Young’s. I think Stroud really separates himself with his arm strength as I feel like he can make every NFL throw and his arm strength is as good as Malik Willis’ was last year. I also think Stroud’s release his right up there with Corral’s. And for those that are worried about Stroud being just another OSU QB and comparing him to Fields, Stroud’s release is milessss ahead of Fields’ and being a pure pocket passer, Stroud reads the field much better than Fields does. I don’t think the players are even remotely similar.

All in all, both Stroud and Young have a chance at being really good QB’s but I’d prefer Stroud. I also have a lot of questions about Young’s durability.

I would trade CMC out of respect , he should experience success with a relevant team before he retires, and we are years and years away from that, look at how many years Matt Stafford wasted with a bad organization, he gets traded to a good one and what do you know, superbowl, that shows you even top tier talent can't overcome terrible coaching staffs and front offices

It's also the same reason I am glad Cam didn't get pulled back into this nightmare , Superman 1 is better off making YouTube videos than being a lamb to the slaughter for this bad joke of a coaching staff and owner

    • The other draft picks have turned out pretty well. Brooks will too.
    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
