Yeah, we probably just cost ourselves draft position. We aren't winning many games with the offense we're fielding right now. We basically need the other team to beat themselves and the Saints did that today.

LOL

Talking about draft position after week 3.

Huddle gonna huddle.

I mean it doesn't exactly take a genius to see why.  This year is very similar to 2010's "lame duck" year under Fox and Pickles.  It's a waste.  If that is not already obvious to you, then give it a couple more weeks.

Because Baker is clearly the answer.  I mean we WON yesterday!  Whoot!  Watch out Super Bowl here we come!!!!!!!

We didn’t win because we were the better team, we didn’t out coach them. They beat themselves. Winston sucked, playing injured, they made mistakes, our defense gave up a lot, besides a few players playing well they didn’t do that good. Our offense was garbage but now because we won, Rhule going to act like he Bill Belicheat.

The next 3 of 4 games are at home.  The Panthers better make good on that because after Tampa (last one in that home stand) of the final 10 games, only 4 are at home.  I see 3 maybe 4 wins in that final stretch of 10 games.  If Rhule wants to eclipse his 5 win mark, he's going to need this team to pull off some upsets in this upcoming home stand.

Who is ever as objective as they think they are. And let's be real most folks staying negative are hardly objective. They have negative opinions and keep them despite what happens.

At this point, 11-25 and the declining performance the past 2 years absolutely leads to an objectively negative overall outlook. In the barest, most mathematical terms the trend has been negative and the offense still objectively sucks. That's the reality, and a single win over the Saints doesn't change that either subjectively or objectively.

No that just points out the past not the future. Much like depression when you look back you see what happened not what is going to happen. It doesn't mean that the future has to be better because it might not but it doesn't have to be bad. And  when you say you are negative about the future that is an emotional response not a factual statement.  You may say your viewpoint is informed by facts but that cuts both ways. I can say that we are two 50 yard plus  field goals away from 3-0. And how many teams have lost 2 games in a row by game winning field goals of over 50 yards in the history of the league. The answer is none.  So we lost our first 2 games with worse luck than any team in the history of the league and we should be all gloom and doom? So while you can find objective facts to inform your opinion on both sides, having a negative attitude is not being objective at this point.

And even if this team had achieved a 3-0 record, which we actually saw last year before they finished 5-12, it would still be completely outweighed by the two years prior. It takes time to confidently discern changes in trends and Rhule has 2 years of empirical suckitude to fight against; 3 games scraping by against the bottom of the NFL barrel does little to move the objective or subjective needle in the face of that. I will again say that reviewing the data constitutes neither 'doom and gloom' nor that negativity is an emotional response... that's an absurd premise. For the millionth time, drawing a conclusion from the body of data out there does not constitute an active decision to be negative. The reality is that Rhule and his teams have sucked and this year's iteration appears to have the same weaknesses as those teams; this is based on what's actually being put on the field, not on any 'emotional response.'

Estimation (either positive or negative) of future performance is speculation and the 36 games he's already coached point in a pretty clear direction. The benefit of the doubt is gone, so unless/until he (or any other coach/player in a similar situation) gets a substantial body of work rivaling the performance showing a different trend, there's nothing to suggest the future will be any different and expectations can be set accordingly. It really is that simple.

When was the last time they beat the Panthers? 2013??

They have a better shot a beating us this year but as you know you can't predict these things.  Early season games are hard to predict. Until every team hits their so called strid (whether good or bad) it's still early.

But with the way our offense is playing it's hard for me to imagine them playing much better than what we saw yesterday.  The defense is going to have to carry this team that's all there is to it.

    • Did I mention that he was on worse teams?  Yes.  Do QBs alone win games?  No.  Did Cam, on a much better team with some awesome defenses ever have 2 consecutive winning seasons?  No.  So now you are cherry picking,  If the overall stats are similar, you take a look at him.   I told you that you look at his skill set---but you wanted to tell me that he sucks and mentioned performance.  I just presented performance--and his numbers are very similar to Cam Newton's numbers--a player most call the best Panther QB ever--and I agree.  By the way, Fumbles are evidence of how bad his OL has been--so you are saying that a QB in a situation worse than Cam's who has stats and physical abilities very similar to Cam's should not be given a look when you have Bryce Young at QB?  You are going with that story because you simply talked your way into a corner and now you are trying to save face.  No good GM would do what you suggest because "he sucks."  Sorry, but the facts do not support you.  But no matter what eye-opening details I provide, there are some who are going to go their Google machines to try to find some reason to support an ignorant approach to developing the QB position.  You ignored the similarities to Cam and went cherry picking.  I know what you are doing--but I am only suggesting (as I have stated before) that we bring him in as one of three approaches to resolving the QB issue. Compete with Bryce and draft a QB. Basically, I am suggesting that Jones has the potential to replace Dalton and compete with Young.  He is a battered stock that could get better in a better situation--that is human nature.  Instead, I am called a Daniel Jones lover and superfan.  That is good debate--But a real sign of immature thinking is the inability to LOGICALLY consider alternative perspectives--which is actually a characteristic of intelligence.
    • I don’t get this, I know that is the popular thought process but I just don’t think it’s true.  For instance head to head last year the ACC had a winning record against the SEC.  The SEC had a losing record in bowl games. This year so far the head to head is 2-3 SEC and that’s with a fluke Vandy win in week one.  I see the ACC taking another head to head winning season after next week.  The SEC is mostly hype with 3 good teams, in my opinion.  But to say any ACC team would get exposed I believe is a stretch
    • What the hell?  How is presenting Cam's stats hating him?  The point is not to hate Cam, it is to show you how similar Jones is to him and why you take a look at him.  I mentioned Jones has the skill set to take a look--the response is, "look at his 5 years of performance."  So I compare him to the greatest QB in franchise history, and the stats are similar--while Jones was in a worse situation.  Now that is "hating?"  Come on.  This is a meritless, ignorant, personal attack because you are wrong.  Just stop it.  You all attack the poster when you have nothing.  So saying "we should consider a guy with similar stats and size to Cam Newton" is now hating Cam and making me a Jones super fan- that is just stupid.
