What’s funny is Pittsburgh has some close stats the past 2 years for their D close to the our D the last 2 years under Ron.

An owner is only as good as the GM/Scouts/Head Coaches/players/coaching staff etc. 

Tepper hasn’t really done anything different than other owners have done, it just so happened the head coach he hired didn’t pan out, it happens, on to the next one. I just can’t pinpoint a “smoking gun” to point to and say Tepper has been a bad owner. 

The owner hires the people that build the team.  So he isn’t a non-factor. 

and clearly Tepper has done things other owners haven’t done.  He made a middle of the road college coach one of the highest paid coaches in the NFL, gave him absurd power and let him bring a nearly all college staff with him to the pros.   That’s not par for the course for NFL ownership.  That makes Tepper on the unique side.   And not in a good way

And this is where Tepper has been a problem. He's trusted the wrong people.

He trusted Hurney first. That led to Rhule, whom he trusted with a huge contract and full control.

Trusting the wrong people is the Cardinal Sin for an NFL owner.

It's a culture now. That's why you've got guys like RA saying that fans shouldn't be so negative. He's ok with it so we should be.

I ignore comments like that only because they know what a crowd can do for the team they’re cheering for and in most cases cheering against.

He put no more effort into that thought than he did securing the football.

Not Cam’s fault at all, it’s was on Hurney and Rivera not realizing the end was coming sooner rather than later.
