and I see they dropped the nonsensical but we only had 50 something plays so we just couldn’t bologna.  Given the rest of the league as no problem presenting opponents with lots of WR options to present various looks and get their guys in the flow.   Even with 50 something plays.

I heard this 💩 also. He said some dumb stuff too after the first game when asked about getting gashed in the run game. He said, "Guys aren't lining up right."

Its so freaking basic. What does that say about coaching when guys don't line up right multiple times and coaches don't sub in players who might be able to help late in games or anytime in the game really?

I honestly forgot Higgins was on the team the last few weeks, has he even seen any snaps? He had great chemistry with Baker in camp, and with Shi dropping everything our slot WR position is wide open. Just more stupid poo from Rhule

All he did in Cleveland was get open. Makes zero sense. 2 months ago Shi couldn't get practice reps because CJ saunders, now we do a 180 and over use him. McAdoo is never getting another OC job after this mess

The one WR Baker has legit chemistry with and knows well has not had a single snap.   I still maintain outside of DJ….the rest of the WR corp should be a steady rotation.

I don’t think Robbie is good enough to dominate the % of snaps he does.  He is too lightweight to be such a permanent fixture.    Run blocking, more physical routes, etc would favor others.

Rhule is honest to God trying to get fired.

    • Yea, guys like Smith, Holt, Wayne, etc are screwed, they now have almost no shot at getting in through the normal process, they're going to need ones like Sharpe this year with the senior committee.   Just will be too many vote splitting, especially when you get into the years where there are a clear group of 2-4 1st ballot guys, because then the other few guys in the final 7 will all get split votes and likely come up just short of the 80% Like in a couple of years in 2027, you'll have Gronk, AP, and Roethlisberger as guaranteed 1st ballot guys, likely will get 100% of the vote in the final 7.  Those other 4 players are all going to be so HOF worthy due to this new system that they're bound to split enough of the vote to keep at least 1 of the possible 2 other spots from getting to the 80% mark, quite possibly both of the other two spots.
    • I don't know what is going on in the system. The biggest argument for Rod's system was always tough forecheck and not giving up too many good chances to the opponent, rip enough shots and play dirty hockey in front and down low, win. I think of the 12 teams with most games played in the playoffs, we gave up the least amount of goals. But we just can't generate scoring against contenders and I refuse to believe it is because our guys are incapable of scoring.  There's something funky with the way we're setting up. I think it's just that we have played this style so consistently that teams are adjusting and finding answers to it and Rod has not enough set plays and gameplans that deviate from dump and chase or carry and look for a crosser or netfront.  Rod has to figure it out. We have insane talent on this team and if we don't start putting up goals, we're going to languish as perennial contenders who can't get it done.
    • Yeah, you could have all 7 guys split 71% each and get stuck with three man classes.    At least the top seven go straight to the final next time.  I’m not worried about Luke getting it eventually but Smith’s numbers are going to look less impressive down the road in a pass happy league. (Fitzgerald goes to the top of the group next year, still stuck with Holt and Wayne for votes).
