We still have 15 games.  We have a coach that was previously our DC and did quite well.  We have an offensive staff that should be able to turn this around.

Several of our opponents have their own issues that make these games winnable.

Anyone that is going to give up so early, with or without Rhule, isn't much of a fan.

With Rhule it seems hopeless but who knows if the light will ever come on.   With McAdoo I think we could turn it around.

This season for all intents and purposes is done.  The meat of our schedule is on deck and we looked like a complete clown show the first 2 games against poo teams.  then there is this

The Panthers are now 1-25 under Rhule when allowing 17 or more points. And if this is a playoff-or-bust season for Rhule, as most believe, he’s dug himself an early grave: Since the NFL expanded its playoff format in 1990, only 30 of 265 teams (11.3 percent) that started 0-2 made the postseason.

Since the playoffs expanded again in 2020, none of the 18 teams that lost their first two games qualified.

I think you vastly overrate a guy like McAdoo as a HC. Not to mention a lot of the damage is already done.

Do you think that we can just take a wholly new defensive scheme that Wilks would run and just trot it out there to any success?

This isn't a realistic scenario. Rhule will be the guy until Tepper decides he isn't.

Seriously, you cant just change coaches 2,3,4 games in and think it will magically get better.  Schemes are in place for this team.  Its too late to change.  Oh and I guess dave didnt bother to watch either first half of the first 2 games.  Mcadoos game plan was utter poo

Agreed a lot has been done.

No, I don't think we can just slap a new scheme in one week.

However, I do believe we have enough experience on this coaching staff that they can move us in a better direction.

I go back to some of those tweets I saw in the post yesterday.  We have players playing out of position or doing things that they shouldn't be doing. Especially on defense.  Get some real NFL coaching and we might turn things around.

I'm not saying McAdoo is a savior but he could get us going in the right direction.

I just think if you are going to can Rhule than do it now and let those that are still here show what they can do.

DAVE did watch what I could (I work overseas and my stream is not the best) and yes I agree that those 1st halves were horrendous but who had the final say in the gameplan?  Who's to say that Rhule said this is what I want us to do and give me a gameplan?  After the 1st half McAdoo make his adjustments.

You don't know precisely what happened, only an opinion.

Well we do have schematic issues on both the offense and defense, so I don't think that solution is anywhere near a magic pill. If you fired Rhule and Snow tomorrow, I don't think there would be a drastic change in our outlook from where it is now, unfortunately.

I don't think these guys have enough polish to shine this turd up. It just kind of is what it is for 2022.

I know in the nfl the OC is in charge of developing game planning and calling the plays.  Come on man you know this

yeah you dont go through training camp implementing these things for weeks and then think you can magically change after a couple of weeks and things will get better, it just doesnt work like that.

YES, Agreed, in a normal organization.  Are we normal oganization.

Rhule has complete control remember?

bro, I mean you are now trying to cover for mcadoo,  you find me anything that says rhule designs and implements the game plans as well as call the plays and I will say I am wrong but there is no way on Gods green earth that Rhule does that.  Simply no way

I'm not covering for anyone.  I think Rhule needs to go and bringing in another HC off the street is worse that promoting McAdoo.

Get Rhule out and just see how much he was hindering this team.   Worse case, we fire the entire group after 2022.

I think Rhule is actually correct. The units are playing much better than last year. But there is no clutch factor, plus the fumbles, the drops, and ill timed mistakes that are robbing us of wins. The plays are there to be made to win the game. But we aren’t executing.

Now I’m guessing that still falls under the head coach. He has to find a way to get the guys in the position to get over the hump. But I do think the team is actually better than last year.

Dont get me wrong though I can’t stand the losing streak and the ego of Rhule. But if the light is going to come on for the team it will be in the next few weeks. Otherwise it’s a lost cause.

I'm no Rhule defender -- but if I were to attempt an argument on his behalf I believe I'd start with the QB position.

Bridgewater - Darnold - Baker --

Not sure how much winning any coach will do with this lineup (Although they'd do more winning than Rhule)

Here's the issue. He had a HUGE hand in bringing them in in the first place. If these QB's were forced on him he had some argument in terms of being hamstrung, but we know that's not the case.

Therefore I got nothing.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
