Let’s talk some Ickey at LT

Why would you do that? How does that help Iky get better at LT? We aren’t a playoff team keep him there. He’s not Slater but maybe he’s like Andrew Thomas. People left him for dead and he was really good after his rookie year.

It’s funny to see all the complaints in preseason about his lack of snaps with the first team (he never played G in preseason) and now I’ve seen multiple posts about moving him to G now to help him develop.

Keep him at LT and let him keep getting better there.

Wrong. That is how you develop him. Needs to learn the speed of the game. Remember Ryan Kalil didn’t play center his first year. He played guard. He isn’t ready for full time LT duty.

😂 Ok coach. How many of the recent T 1st rounders played guard year one and tackle year two? Exactly, you are talking out your ass. He’s played every snap in preseason and games at LT and you think we should switch him to LG and that will help? Great plan. He hasn’t even been awful by any stretch.

Also, you are wrong on Kalil anyway. He started only 3 games in 2007 and all 3 were at C. He didn’t play G his rookie year and then switch to C his second, he just only started 3 total games. You might be thinking Gross, but even he played T his rookie year, not G.

I am right here. I’m Tied in pretty close to college players that played oline and this is their consents as well. He isn’t ready but at LG he can learn pass pro while still playing close to his natural position.   After a year he can then slide over.

Even with the mistakes 10x better than Erving.. Baker had time today.. The Oline wasn't the problem the coaching is..

Wait what? You really think Baker had time today? Did we watch the same fuging game? Dude was running for his life damn near every play.

In hindsight, although a lot of those plays he made looked really goofy and sometimes didn't pan out, I think Daniel Jones handled those pressures 1000x better than Baker in that he evaded the pressure and then would try to reset to wait as long as possible for a receiver to come open; sometimes they didnt, and he ended up throwing something horrible or just throwing it away a the last second.  Whereas Baker would evade the pressure and immediately started up field on a scramble, almost every time.  Those 3 and 4 yard gains ultimately are inconsequential.  Jones had multiple big conversions off the same broken plays by waiting for a pass.

But again, I'm going to believe part of this is still getting comfortable in the offense, but even more so, especially on the off-schedule plays, it's a lack of reps and chemistry with the receivers, imo.

Again, it’s Rhules fuging retarded QB contest in TC. God I cannot wait until he’s gone. Killing us at every single opportunity.

Rhule sucks but damn, Mayfield is a 5th year starting vet. His reaction to pressure has nothing to do with the QB contest. Same reason why Darnold was so likely to fail, hence a stupid trade by us. Mayfield isn’t. Some rookie. His overthrow of Smith when he was wide open had nothing to do with Rhule. He was just very inaccurate even with little pressure.

Mayfield/McCaffrey are the only reason these games have been close-ish. He is an average QB which is a major upgrade from what we have had the last two years.

Yes!! You obviously didn't watch this game.. Baker had more time then any Panthers QB had the last 5 years.. The Oline is better.  Playcalling and coaching isn't..

You’re cherry picking one play that even had the announcers questioning whether Smith fuged up or not. Baker has not been good. But he’s not had much help either.

Lol ok. They were all over his ass all game. I guess we need to wait to see what the tape says. Again. Baker was not good. But he had zero help either.

Him having more time than any QB in the last 5 years isn’t saying much. Our OL went from an F to a D-. Baker was running all over the place.
