Are we the worst team in the league?

Talent wise:  No

Coaching wise:  absolutely and it’s not close.

Really? Cause talent wise we suck pretty bad…the drafting has been atrocious…we are losing to the browns 3rd string qb and giants/jones…

our qb sucks balls and we have no pass rush…oline looks like trash once again

even the whole ‘talent’ and ‘potential’ doesn’t hold up with me anymore, although this team would probably be better with another coach, this is what Rhule built

I still disagree. In 2020, we were listed in ESPN as 32nd in turnover. We lost more starters than every other team and a new coaching staff.

We were pretty clearly at the bottom talent wise in 2020 and in 3 years, who have we added? Brown, Chinn, Horn, BC and Iky? Is that really enough to offset the 3 years of draft picks that every other team has added. We lost to two bad teams without key starters when we were healthy. Imagine if we played the Bills right now or any of the truly top teams.

The talent of this team is absolutely overrated in the Huddle. We talked about Horn as a top CB in the NFL and CJ as a steal and that our secondary was top 5. After what 3 penalties and no INTs against such amazing QBs as Jones and Brissett and WR juggernauts in Cleveland and NY, does anyone really think our secondary is amazing and that Horn is a top 5-10 CB? Is our OL top as was mentioned? Is Baker top 10 material?

CMC is our only truly elite player. We have some more talent but he’s our only game changer. Rhule and the rest are bad, but it would take a historically great coach to turn this talent into a perennial playoff team. Are we close? Not really but add a great QB and a great coach and we could be, but we don’t have either and the rest of the team is not talented enough to really compete.

Here’s to hoping for a new staff and GM that know QBs so we can draft our new Cam. That’s the way out of the hole. If I look at the winless teams, I’d say we are competing with Indy, Houston and Atlanta for bottom of the barrel.

Agreed 100000%. We have 1 elite player in CMC(yet we don’t use him). We have 3 good players in Moore Moton and Burns. That…is…it. Chinn should be elite but the staff doesn’t use him properly. Horn and Brown are as overrated as it gets.  Jackson could be elite but can’t stay healthy. Henderson is a JAG that Would sell insurance if it paid more. Shaq is a jag. Luvu is a cool story but he is a jag.

guys that is it. We have 5 players I would take on any team. That is it. This team is trash. The front office is trash and rhule is the worst NFL coach in the league.

32. That’s become our number.   Face it…there isn’t a cam or Luke that is coming to save us.

Jags are ok to have, most team only average 3-4 blue chip players. What you do with your jags are what make good coaches.

The Chargers have a LOADED roster with blue chip players and still couldn't out talent the Chiefs this week.

Herbert being hurt has something to do with that and well they played against the face of the league in Pat Mahomes

Jets Just Beat The Browns by leading a comeback with 37 year old Flacco down 13 with over a minute left at Home 31-30. We are definitely #33.

What hurts is the fact that the Browns kicker that beat the Panthers with a 58 yard field goal misses a PAT and the Browns loses by one. Go figure.

    • Sounds like #37 gonna miss the whole road trip.
    • I didn't realize Robidas is Stankoven sized lol
    • No, but considering that over a third (~35%) of their schedule are the other three teams in the NFC South and all three have strong starting (and back-up) RBs that the offense leans heavily on to open up the pass game. ATL: Bijan has this season and next season before the Falcons have to make a decision on his fifth-year option, Tyler Allgeier is a proven back-up RB that could start for some teams, and 2024 sixth-round selection Jase McClellan returns from a knee injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the season starting in early September. Combine that with their QB situation, and that's a team that is going to lean heavily on the run just like they did last season when they were 8th in the league in rushing attempts, 10th in rushing yards, 8th in rushing TDs, 9th in rushing attempts on 1st down, . NO: Similar situation as ATL, but for different reasons. Derek Carr is in the second to last year of his deal and the QBs behind him are Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener, and Ben DiNucci. However, they also have Alvin Kamara. One thing that we know about Kellen Moore from his stints as an OC is that he likes to lean heavily on a versatile RB1 while bringing in an arguably equally versatile RB2 to keep their foot on opposing defenses. When Moore had Zeke in Dallas, Zeke was 4th in the league in touches during those four years but Pollard still averaged 10 touches and nearly 60yds a game. Look for the Saints to shore up their RB room in the draft with Kendre Miller, CEH, Jordan Mims, and Xazavian Valladay all competing for touches behind Kamara. TB: Bucky Irving exploded onto the scene last season, but we can't forget more than capable (now-)RB2 Rachaad White. White is on the last year of his rookie deal, but Irving is under contract until 2028. Last season, the Bucs were 10th in rushing attempts, 4th in rushing yards, 3rd in YPC, 7th in carries of 20+, 8th in carries of 40+, and 7th in first down rushing attempts and that helped Baker Mayfield be one of the most efficient passers in the league with a 71.4% completion percentage (good enough for 2nd in the league).
