Beason was arrested on the 30th for a warrant. The incident took place on about the 15th. Any idiot can go to a magistrate and sign out a warrant. It really is that simple. I would think if this was serious, he would have had an escort to 4th street that night.

I met Beason at Cheese Mo'z and he's one of the most approachable pro athletes I've ever met, so someone must have really gone out of their way to piss him off.

It is curious that this all happened on the 15th and charges are being brought now. The guy that got punched probably went and found a lawyer who told him he needs to press charges for the lawsuit.

I was at a Bachelor Party (dancing at the Brick N Barrel) where a similar incident happened.....and the guy deserved it.

Drunk asshole was trying to get all up on my friends fiance. She told him to back off several times. He called her a bitch. My buddy dropped his ass on the floor. Guy was crawling away and called her a racial slur. My buddy hurled a beer bottle across the room and clocked him in the head.

Bouncer told us we needed to leave....but said the guy was a complete asshole and he was glad someone finally called him on it and made him pay.

Double standard at work: Jeremy Bridges gets into a fight at a strip club and people are calling him a moron that needs to be ran out of town. Jon Beason does the exact same thing and people completely support him.

Does being an elite player excuse this kind of behavior? No, not in the slightest.

Beason is my favorite player on the team next to 89 and I have to say that I was shocked and disappointed to hear this. I hope people can see past their pro-Beason bias and recognize the stupidity of what he did.

Pointing a gun at someone and punching someone are two totally different things... with that being said I am disappointed that Beason didn't exercise better judgement assuming this was not some sort of act of self-defense.
