Calling somebody a "hater" really only has validity when there's some evidence that the object of that hate might actually be good.

Do you see anything like that for Matt Rhule?

LIsting any positives about the Panthers in general, let a lone Rhule is met with poo and derision here especially after a loss.  People keep asking this question, others answer it and the horde descends.

Wins are all the matter in the end, and right now Rhule doesn't have many.

I'm hoping he gets more this season.  Don't you?

That depends on whether I want what's best for the Panthers or what's best for Matt Rhule.

A better record this season followed by three more seasons of losing isn't a good outcome for the team.

So since I don't believe Matt Rhule is qualified to be an NFL coach, what should I hope for?

(hoping that he becomes one isn't a valid option either)

The haters are the ones that seem to be taking all this personally. Then they criticize, and disparage others, for not following along. And the word FACTS never enters their minds. If they can think it. It could/did happen.

As to Rhule himself? It is week 1. I'll wait a few weeks to see how THIS team does. I don't care about last year(s).

It's not week 1.

It's week 35.

And so far, not a whole lot looks different than the past 34 weeks. In fact, last week actually looked worse than anything I've seen in the two years to date.

You can say "maybe this team is different" but until I see some actual evidence of that, I'm not buying.

This is exactly what I mean. You twisted my words to fit your narrative.

Didn't twist your words at all.

I told you why they were wrong.

Matt Rhule is what he is, and is what he has always been. He was never qualified to be an NFL head coach, and that's not going to change overnight, or even in a season.

The best thing that can happen to the team is for him to be replaced.

Sure you didn't. I said it is week 1, and I'll wait a few weeks to judge THIS team.

And you jumped right in with. "It's not week 1. It's week 35". You may not have exactly twisted my words. But you sure ignored them to dump on Rhule.

So like I said. Exactly how this board works. I'm Wrong because I didn't dis on Rhule, and have a differing thought line.

I know I am going to regret this but what FACTS are you referring to?

    • Best to see Icky in the position we drafted him in to see if he continues making progress. All signs point to Canales/Morgan staying on board and so decisions on whether to move him elsewhere on the line will probably be done during the offseason. Personally, I'm more concerned about a more long-term answer at safety and Moton's spot. Love the guy but he's a FA after 2026 and he'll be 32 by then. Kinda has that sign of having to let a player walk one year too early.
    • All I am saying is IMO if we were going to rework or extend his deal I think it would have happened by now.   Just feels like they are going to bite the bullet and let it run its course
    • I mean me speaking honestly per normal- RT is not even on my radar for needing fixing....it sorta should be, but I feel its around 20s in "hey this need attention". Motown could have another 5 years of solid play leftd in his body and mind. I know something needs to done with his contract, its had money pushed back into the late years like three times now. He got like a 38 million cap number cause rhule, frittterererer and this past season Dan deferred money.  I think he's been "healthy" for most of his career and seems to work hard at being able to play. He's a good player to have on the team. I got no idea how this plays out.   We need to have friendly bet about Christs next contract- I say he gets 8million per and 40% guaranteed. If he gets below that, you are the true kungfu master- deal?
