I really tried to give Matt Rhule a chance but I keep seeing the same mistakes ever since he was hired in 2020.

Same here.  I was hoping the new coaches would help prop him up but what we saw in the 1st half was an abysmal display of incompetent game planning.  I can't think of a reason he should get another game.  Scott Frost got 2 games in Nebraska.  I can't imagine that anything good is happening next week.  Daboll knows enough to just let Saquon Barkley demoralize the Panther D.  So will Tepper ever get embarrassed enough?  This franchise will be worthless if this goes on much longer.

It makes no sense that he fired the soccer coach so quickly, yet has stuck with Rhule who has done nothing to show he can lead an NFL team.

Ramirez was a smaller investment and less of a kiss ass. His real mistake was bringing attention to the fact that Tepper is one of the cheapest owners in MLS. Soccer's also more player driven so when the locker room turned on him he probably stood his ground (knowing his personality) and it was a wrap.

Rhule "Yes, Mr. Tepper"s his way around everything and reminds us of their three year blood oath whenever he's grilled.

I think Rhule is getting this entire season no matter what so if and when the axe comes it'll be on Bloody Monday with all the other firings.

This is what I’m concerned with. I feel like this has a real good chance of happening, which is horrid decision making. Par the course with Tepper. Hopefully he doesn’t get hurt feelings and trash the fans again bc they are all unhappy with the product he put together. It’d be a shame for us all to want to watch the team win or at least show improvements for the future. But according to Rhule, we just can’t see the greatness.

    • Yeah and he succeeded at an even higher level in LA with an even better surrounding cast. Goff is a guy that isn't really able to dramatically elevate players around him but he can make a good situation even better. He is capable of that. Some QB's aren't. I am not sure Dak is able to do that and he is in a similar "class" as Goff, IMO.
    • i think i could handle that for a year. beyond that....i don't know.  back where we lived, when we had a few inches of snow, it might have been a couple feet because we weren't getting out and doing anything. i remember times where power would go out for days on end. we had propane and electric heat, depending on the floor. basement (had a couple bedrooms and a living room and kitchen down there) and main floor had gas logs. main floor gas logs was enough to take care of the upstairs, so we could stay warm and cook on the grill when we needed. we had a well so that was always an issue when the power went out. had to make sure tubs were filled with water for the toilets and we had gallons of water for drinking and cooking available. always had to make sure we were ready. that wasn't always the case. we had a couple moments where we were going through propane quickly and because we were dealing with the worst propane company in the world (amerigas) they wouldn't get out to put gas in our 900 gallon tank. made for some nerve racking moments.  i know y'all were probably a lot more able to handle that kind of thing, but after the little bit (comparatively) that we got here i just have no desire to get trapped again. maybe for a day or two a year get snowed in and i'm good.
    • I think he is just drawing a DC to them line and that's about as far as his thought process went. It makes almost no sense outside of that. Also, it doesn't make sense for Pittsburgh or Seattle at this juncture either.  I think our "veteran" pool is basically gonna be the Dalton/Flacco tier or the "pick your poison" options of young busts(Jones/Z. Wilson) or wild, TO prone gunslingers(Darnold/Winston/etc). We have the option to pursue I genuinely believe(depending on the way the rest of this season goes), we either draft a QB in the top 10 or resign Dalton. Outlier third option on taking one of the wild gunslingers that Dave feels like he can work with.
