I'm not getting my hopes up too much about Matt Moore, because Fox is right when he says that there are more problems than just the QB. The O-line is not pass protecting well, and they can't seem to pick up 3rd or 4th and short when they need to, and we still need another WR that can make plays. I love Moose, but he's just not good enough to keep the pressure off of Smitty, and there is nobody else unless this Charly Martin kid turns out to be a real player.

I do believe Sunday's game was the last straw for Delhomme, but changing the QB won't fix everything, I'm afraid.

After 4 INTs (again!), Moore should be starting anyway. The team is not responding to Jake any more. Let's at least see if they will respond to Moore. maybe some of those 3rd and shorts will become more doable. I was appalled that we ran (again) on a third and 10 when we were deep in their territory early in yesterday's game. We played for the FG that early! It's obvious that, injured or not, Jake does not have anyone's confidence any more when throwing. Let's see what Moore can do.

Actually, I am rather pleased that Matt gets to start. I just hope his line is ready and he doesn't get hammered back there.

You never know, the kid just might surprise folks....

Moore is more accurate and has better arm strength than Delhomme. Don't be surprised by either. He has only played in a few games and won't make all the reads and pick apart coverage. He will be better than Delhomme and our passing game will be more effective. He will also struggle at times. Those times should have been earlier in the season, not when you have to run the table to have a shot.

Fox needs to start Moore. If he is going to run 5 recievers w/ an empty backfield....don't use just 1 WR in the entire group. Activate Moore and use Moore and Jarrett and Smith on the field. Giving a QB the same 2 WR options 90% of a game unless it is a blowout isn't working especially when one is Moose.

Need to mix it up....the 2 WR sets with heavy play action go on the shelf for a bit. Those are tough for any QB......

they let him pass in 07.....they should let him attempt the normal range a Carolina QB needs to. He needs to work b/c NE is coached well enough they will force you to beat them in the air.....and plays can be made but he needs reps before that game.

Yeah I hope that they will let him play a balanced game. The only thing I'm thinking of is when he went in for Jake during the Cardinals game. He only attempted one pass the entire time.
