He could still turn out to be a good and/or effective coach at the NFL level. The current evidence though supports that he hasn't been, and doesn't look promising for such an outcome. Acknowledging that is somehow 'hating'...

Power Rangers Reaction GIF

Maybe as an assistant offensive line coach. Not as head coach and shadow GM.

That's about enough of the Huddle for today.

Given the massive conflict of interest/likely affinity that Thompson most likely has when it comes to Rhule yes, it's quite reasonable to do so.

The Temple/XFL guy that has 1 catch for 7 yards in 2 years under Rhule? Yeah, not buying his "Up to the players to execute" Rhule defense.

Of course there were holes but the way we went about it didn't always help. Rhule's first draft was all defense and by his 2nd year he fielded the 2nd worst oline in all of the NFL. Here we are in year 3 and our backup OL has sent two QB's to IR in preseason. This is an offensive league at the end of the day and teams go as far as they are willing to invest in the trenches. Let's hope Baker can stay upright it's going to be a long season.

this is 100% hindsight logic. The reason we went all defense is because our defense was terrible the previous year. we had a legit paper thin secondary luke retired. we lost DT's and had no edge rushers. the enitre defense was a mess. Theyve built up that defense and it is now one of our strengths.

it is ridiculously hard to acquire top tier oline people through FA. if a team has a great oline man they arent just letting him walk. So you have a nonexistent FA market for oline men which leaves you to build through the draft which 1) takes time to build and 2) you have to be lucky that the good oline men in the draft are on the board when its your turn to pick. Last years draft was a super weak oline year after the first 10 picks which most of the oline men went before we event picked.

So please tell me captain hindsight, what moves are you making where you are getting top tier oline men in FA and still having a strong defense because you dont get to use the top picks we did on people like Chinn and Horn.

This team and any other team in the NFL lives and dies by QB. Of course we are going to have growing pains trying to replace a franchise QB.  Not every team get to luck into back to back franchise guys. Some times it takes years.

Good proven words to live by- "consider the source"

Still loads of bad-mouthing Rhule have gone on for months if not years, nice to someone close say whats on their mind.

I also never got why fans thought Rhule could turn around a oldddddd roster that lost nearly 60% stats&snaps and all leadership. Talking HOF level talent at a few spots(QB, MLB, TE), gone. SO in just two years panthers should have been winning 12 games???? holy helll thats some insane expectations.

Oh come on there were olinemen to be had in the draft. We took a WR who we can't even get to stay on the field and then we paid RA 30 million dollars and we took a long snapper we cut a year later instead of more OL depth. That's two right there that could help in solidifying our oline. Let's also not forget the fact that Fitterer and Rhule went out and signed two of the worst olinemen to overpay contracts on the first day of free agency last year. It was not an ideal situation to try and fix in a short time period granted but again the way we have gone about it has not been necessarily helpful either and some realistic criticism has been warranted.

who? tell me the names that were on the board at our spot who youd take over what we did. RA just came off a 1000 yard season and was huge for us. definitely earned the contract.

again you are 100% hindsighting to poo on rhule. atleast own it.
