Panthers favored week 1

If we open the season losing to a backup QB at home, then what's going to happen when we play talented starting QBs? We'll be drafting in the top 10 again if we can't beat teams playing their backup QB.

I'll say this about Week 1.  It is always such a fluky week.  There's no film for either team to study.  No one's in midseason form yet.  The bad teams don't realize they are bad yet.

I certainly hope for a W.  But other than a good start, Week 1 means next to nothing about how the season will go.

Refs don't give Charlotte teams home cooking. They generally get crappy takeout just like if they're the visitors.

Didn't we beat the daylights out of the Cardinals last season with a washed up Cam who didn't even know the offense? Why did that happen? Arizona had to start their backup QB. They were 8-2 when we played them, and we sucked big time.

We should win this.. if we can’t win this game then it’s going to be a long long season!! And Rhule will be waiting to hear the fat lady sing (Tepper)!! And we will see what one of the coordinators can do with the team!!

This happens almost every week in the NFL... Week 18 last year. The Saints beat the Falcons with Trevor Siemian and Taysom Hill under center.
