who cares if moore wins out. it would just simply be a breath of fresh air not seeing number 17 throwing period. like others said let moore throw in live action and see what he's got. what can it hurt? if he shows anything then we have something to look forward to

Matt Moore's combine stats of preseason and regular season since he has entered the NFL look like this.

Matt Moore

1,355 Yards

3 Touchdowns

10 Interceptions

Which leads me to my next question. Should A.J. Feeley get a chance to start?

Those numbers are starting to balance out a little bit now. So to the question no.

No one can know if Moore will "turn us around". If the critical needs of this team are not addressed, no one, repeat, NO ONE, playing QB can turn us around. But Moore has earned a shot to show whether he IS that QB. Moore is the BEST choice to be at the top of the depth chart going into next season. The team is responding well to him calling the signals. He knows the players and system. There are few, if any, real good QB prospects out there, be they in the draft or FA. After next season, when we have an actual 1st round pick again, would be a better time to re-evaluate the QB situation here if we have to. And the college prospects may be better as well.

By not drafting a QB, we can apply those resources to acquiring/drafting an actual WR, or two! Please note that the current crop of WR potential draft picks are rated as 'weak' by NFL scouts, as are the QBs. We may have to face the prospect of trading one of our outstanding RBs for a WR. Other attention needs to be applied to special teams and line depth.

But Moore is as good of a candidate for the starting job next year as anyone else. I say stay 'with the devil you know', at least thru next year (and hoping he stays healthy). Then decide if another direction is needed.

He looked like crap in both preseasons the last 2 years and you people here thinks he gonna come in and get us to 9-7. I just don't see it I rather let jake ride it out and draft a young qb next year and he & jake can fight it out in camp and pre season for the starting job.

You were saying...........................

Uh.....he pretty much did that already. If you haven't noticed, we've one some games.

Look who it was against. Short turn-around; maybe. A turn-around is a turn-around.

It is what it is.

Uuuhhh, I HAVE noticed. I've been calling for Moore to get a shot since the preseason on these boards. I am encouraged by what is going on, but the true test will be how he, and the team, get thru a season where the team hasn't been eliminated from playoff contention. If you're going to make statements that a short turnaround is still a turnaround, then you must be enamored with the 2 game winning streak that occurred on Jake's watch in weeks 5 and 6. Right? A short turnaround is STILL a turnaround, that's what you said, is it not? (head spinning completely around and around...)..

Your user name says it all.Get over it and let it go already.it's time you Jake slurpers realized he is washup and will never be a NFL starting caliber QB again.

Name me 1 (one) team in the NFL that would want him as their starting QB.

What??You can't think of any? Sorry, neither can I.Why? Because there is not one.

Because obviously Matt Moore is better than Tom Brady. Sheesh open your eyes man.

I'm enamored that JD is not playing QB right now. It is what it is. :P

Also, "What it is" is a big boost of confidence to the whole team so yes I am definitely a half full kinda guy.

Quoting preseason numbers is what you're bringing to the table? Really? Did you add in the fact that he was playing with 2nd and 3rd stringers with those numbers? The only numbers that matter are how is he doing in a regular season or post season game with the rest of the starters. Preseason numbers are as big a joke as the 'vanilla' offense we ran in those games.
