It's not that some of us 'think he will turn this around', it's that it's obvious we are not going anywhere with the present setup and a serious change is needed. Why not look at some alternatives? Moore is just such an alternative. He's been on the roster for a few years now and knows the people and system. He deserves a chance to show what he can do, and the team deserves a chance to see how they will work with and respond to someone besides Jake. We have to realistically start looking at next year and beyond, and Moore has 5 games to show what he can do before a major QB decision has to be entertained and/or considered...Let's see what happens..

The only reason Moore should start is because Delhomme continues to be a turnover machine. I'd rather him get sacked than throw all the INTs he throws. Matt Moore isn't going to turn it around, but only show us if he should be given a shot to start next season.

Matt Moore could end up being the Breakout Player of 2009 for all you know. Give him a shot, cause it's obvious what we have been, and will continue to get from Jake.

A change is needed almost everywhere on this team, and QB is where it should start.

Because it is physically impossible to turn the ball over as much as Delame. Moore would literally have to be turnin' the ball over in his sleep as well to keep up with Joke.

He'll do better then Jake but I don't think we'll see a huge improvement over him. But realistically, it's not gnna take much for Matt to do better then Jake.

Which leads me to my next question. Should A.J. Feeley get a chance to start?

We're not going to the playoffs, and we're stuck paying Delhomme for a few years no matter what.

We need to know whether Matt Moore is ever going to make plays or help win games a the NFL level. If not, then we cut him loose.

Next year, we're going to have lots of spending money, because Peppers will be gone. If Moore plays himself out of a job, then we'll be spending some of Pepper's salary, and some of Moore's for that matter, on a new QB.

That's worth more to me as a fan, than letting Delhomme potentially win 3 of 5 relatively low value games.
