He looked like crap in both preseasons the last 2 years and you people here thinks he gonna come in and get us to 9-7. I just don't see it I rather let jake ride it out and draft a young qb next year and he & jake can fight it out in camp and pre season for the starting job.

You've got to be kidding me, let Jake ride it out, he's already rode us out. I'm not saying that Moore will win the rest of our games for us, I'm saying we should've benched Delhomme a long time ago. He is not producing whats expected of a starting QB, so we should at least give Moore a chance to run the offense in order to evaluate him again, not from preseason, but from the last time he helped salvage our regular season. His evaluation will let us know where he is and what we need to do. Jake is done, but for security, I'd keep him as backup and thats only out of loyalty and his passion for the game. His play is still below what I'd expect from my backup.

If all we had at back-up QB was another washed-up vet like AJ Feely, I would not care whether Jake was benched....neither would be the future of this franchise.

In our current situation, you have everything to gain by putting in Moore.

We are out of the playoffs, so our final record is meaningless at this point (actually we would get a higher 2nd rd pick).

I would rather lose every remaining game with Moore (and know that he is not a potential future QB), than win 4 of 5 with Jake.

I would rather be 4-12 and know we do not have a starting calibre team on the roster, rather than be 8-8 or 7-9 and not know.

Jake is done....we all know it. Find out what we have...or don't have...in the next 5 games.
