Doesn't look like a head shot to me, but I could easily being seeing it wrong.  His head was involved but it looks to me like Kenny made sure he got to the correct spot so that it wasn't an illegal hit.  Was it flagged?

I agree with this. Is there another angle? The original videos didn't work for me.

Even the standing over him, I wish I knew what was said, I'm assuming he said something which was that pause. When played at full speed, he stood there for just a moment like words were said. It was brief though. I wouldn't call it "standing over him" necessarily.

Remember in our first preseason game, one of the Commanders defensive linemen (Young, I think; might have been Sweat) pulled up when he had an easy shot at Mayfield.

We do not receive the same courtesy from the pats in preseason.  They've injured 2 our QB's in a preseason game.

I see a hit that is completely unnecessary in practice.   Especially in a joint practice that has been marred by fighting.

It doesn't appear to be anything blatantly cheap.  From the video, it's impossible to tell if it was even illegal.   Maybe there was head/head contact?  It's too shitty of a video to see.

Anybody calling for him to be cut from this clip is over-reacting.

Of course it was a head shot. He KO's him. That's an illegal hit in a game too.

I didn't see your slow motion clip.  He hit him in the head for sure.   At the same time, Wilkerson is facing him.   He didn't hit him from the back or side or anything.  He went high.  It's a 15 yard penalty in a game, maybe they toss him because the opponent was KO'd out?

Yea... the dude's running straight and to the right... to me it looks like he gets decked straight on..      image.png.4e77cc965ec76a5db05d78a45ad21322.png

He's looking behind him. In the slomo it gets blurrier but now that you know where to look watch reg speed. You can see he's looking back and you can see Kenny target him. Everybody else sees it except you and coffee.

Where he is looking is irrelevant.  His body is facing and running towards Robinson.  If it was any lower, it would've been in the numbers and completely clean.

The only thing that makes this a penalty,  is it's a helmet shot.

Still not a hit that should happen in a practice though even if it would've been legal.

Was definitely the reason Ferentz took the late hit penalty against him during the game

And when so many people in the league have friends and old teammates around the league, it doesn't take long for vengeance to get out of hand. Or, for an even accidental incident to look like intended malice.

Dirty players are never worth the price.

I'm gonna be honest... I dont see the dirty hit. Maybe I was expecting so much more based on the tweets coming out you'd have thought he singled him out and came in from across the field like a heat seeking missile and decapitated him away from the play then pissed on his body after.

Now again, only one of those videos load for me so if I'm missing context through other angles thats on me but here's what I see.

Kick and play is heading to the right. Robinson is on the right of the field - this isnt outside of the play like he ran across the field and sought the WR out. Best I can see it looks like Robinson isn't even moving when he makes the block and leads with head/shoulder area (I can't tell which makes the contact and you're lying if you say you can see either definitely) and he drops him immediately.

It doesn't look like a blindside hit to me, why would Wilkerson be running/looking left when the ball/play is clearly going right?

Wilkerson crumples and Robinson does the stomp celebration. Doesn't even look down at him far as I can tell. Looks like your normal big hit celebration to fire up the team. Make the argument its practice if you want but they're wearing pads in a ST drill.

I would assume the fact he is still on the roster would lend some credence to the fact that Scott and Rhule don't think it was as egregious either.
