The Next QB...

Mr. Scot

There's nobody worthwhile drafting, not with our pick.

As for being insanely unrealistic. What can I say, I expect accuracy from my QB.

There aren't many QB's that CAN make that throw, especially in the manner Moore did it. I can only really think of 5 total starting QB's in this league that can do that throw better than Matt did today, and only two who can do so regularly. *NOTE* This is not saying Matt is a top 5 QB, just that your criticism of that pass is unfounded.

Wow you are insanely unrealistic. That pass covered 58 yards IN THE AIR. Very few starting QB's can even throw that far halfway accurately, let alone still be able to lead a receiver like Smitty who was on a fast break with no double move. He also did that on a 5 step drop without taking a step back up into the pocket to do so.

That pass was nothing more than what Jake has built a career doing, throw it as far as you can in the direction of Smitty and let him take care of the rest. It worked that time just like it has for Jake in the past. If you want to see another effort that was extremely similar to Jake, go watch a replay of the first pass of the second quarter.

The bottom line is that Moore used one of the bottom teams in the league to get his season rating UP TO 57.3. That's almost as high as Jake at 59.4. Keep it in perspective. Our QB of the future is not on our roster.

Wow, your really good a skewing facts aren't you?

Until this start, Moore's only real playing time this season has been garbage time against philly where he was basically passing every down since we were down a huge margin. If you really want to count Moore's passer rating from that game, then you are a moron.

Secondly, lets not forget that it was this same bottom feeder team, that picked Jake Delhomme off twice, one for a touchdown. Why don't you take a look at Delhomme's stats against the same team?

And since your having so much fun watching game film, why not take another look at that pass Smith? That wasn't a typical Jake Delhomme off the back foot prayer to Smith. Moore threw to Smith because he was open and had his man beat. There may be a time in the next few games where Moore does throw into double coverage to Smith hoping he makes a play, but that 60 yard throw was a just a good read by Moore.

Honestly, I understand that Moore hasn't proven anything yet, and I'm not saying he's the quarterback of the future yet. But please stop making things up.

Agreed but it also means that he COULD be our QB of the future.

Look we have to just ignore all the DRAFT A QB fans. Until we find a Bradshaw, Unitas or Favre we are never going to appease these guys. See we should do like the Lions do and continually draft a QB every 3 or 4 seasons in the #1 spot hoping that he will pan out.

Moore could have been 30 for 30 with 450 yards and 5 TD's and our DRAFT A QB fans would have found some fault that he isn't a winner.

Couple more weeks and we all will know. The next 4 weeks should show whether he can handle the pressure. All are potentially playoff teams.

Go Get Em Matt.

Moore may not be the long term answer, time will tell but at least Smith didn't have to stop and wait for that long ball. You could tell by the way Smith celebrated after the catch he knew his season may not be lost after all.

I'm skewing facts? You're basing an assessment on his entire season (or career) on 1 pass. How smart is that?

When did Delhomme play the same team under the same conditions? It never happens. Do you know that Moore could have produced the same results or better than Jake did in Tampa? NO you speculate that he might have.

I haven't made up a thing.

I'm not for drafting a QB. There won't be one worth or first pick next year (second round) unless there is a surprise drop. We need to look at other sources, other teams backups in trade for our backups (not starters) at other positions. CFL (Ray) UFL other places where we can potentially find quality. You guys are proclaiming Moore the savior when he hasn't impressed. Being better than Jake does not reserve him a spot in the HOF especially when it's debatable whetther he's better than Jake or not.

Hello? not every team is gonna need a first round QB in the next draft.....alot of these solid QB's are gonna fall easily to the 2nd round, which is where we pick first......I can see us actually moving up to the top of the second round, if we are not near there already. This draft class is deep with DT's and safeties. We'll be fine come draft time....

Define Impress. The man so far wins games. 2 in 07 (shoulda been 3) and yesterday. Was he pin point accurate? Nope. Did he make a bad choice here and there? Yep. He had a 70% completion rate. If I remember correctly he was 4 for 4 and then 0 - 4 which means he finished 10-12 doing the quick math is about 84%.

I would have loved to have seen 3 TD's and us blow out Tampa but it didn't happen. Our defense held on and we won.

You have got to be kidding CFL or UFL :yikes: I am sure Moore is better than any of those. As far as going to other teams to find players. Where did Moore come from? Another Team.

I haven't annointed Moore anything and neither has most others. We want to give him a solid chance to prove himself. You on the other hand want to criticize him and waste money or a pick on a player we know less about than Moore.

Stop being in such a hurry to find the Next Tom Brady. Who knows if you give him a chance he might just be it.
