The Next QB...

Troy Smith. I'm seriously going to ride this guy's nuts until they fall off, he has all the skills you want in a pro QB he's just short. He could honestly be the QB of the future and while he wouldn't be the next elite QB he will be good enough to win us games, and taht's what matters.

On the same page here. I have liked him for years. If he would have been 6'3" he would have went early day 1. I hate how much the NFL overvalues size and speed but as I have said in the past thats what separates the great FOs from the average ones. But its better for us becuase Smith has been learning from John Harbaugh instead of John Fox the last 2 years. If he can be had for a 5th he is well worth it. I see no way Baltimore lets him go for nothing.

I've come to think you can't look at too many QB's. Hopefully Moore is the next Brady, Manning, Brees etc. If he is I would still draft a QB high. San Francisco was great because they had Montana and traded for Young.

Keep McNown. Bring in any other journeyman.

Draft The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Sorry, all the guy does is win..running, throwing, leading...and if Tony Dungy, Gil Brandt and Jon Gruden thinks he's going to be a great NFL QB, that's enough for me.

None of this will happen if Fox stays. i want the whole of them gone.

Brett Ratliff -saw 2 preseason games when he was on the Jets and looked great i think he threw 5 Td 0Int Great Arm, Good mechanics,Decent Vision

Tony Pike - Big Guy, Above Average Arm, Good Vision, Great Touch ,Need to put on 20 pounds to take hits Injury Prone

Bringing this back up to add this to the mix...

Me and a friend were talking about the possibilty of bring Mark Bulger in during the off-season. word is he is gonna get phased out of St. Louis, and he would come kinda cheap. he is younger than delhomme, but more concussion prone, but i always thought he was a pretty accurate passer.

bring him in, along with a 2nd or 3rd or third round QB pick-up in the draft, and if Matt Moore shows some upside in these last 5 games, well, the QB situation might be shored up, for a good price. I think with that group of guys right there, it would make for a nice battle in training camp.

This may be my second favorite option for an outside guy behind David Garrard, which sadly is probably unrealistic.

Most realistic option at this point is probably still Moore - if he looks decent the next few weeks - or McCown.

I approve of your avatar!

Mr. Scot - Bulger I am split on. Injuries and he always seems to throw a int at the wrong time.

IF you had the control of what QB to pick in the first round of the draft who would it be. Personally I wont someone like a Sam Bradford who could develop into a great pocket passer. Whos your pick.

If Bradford was available when we drafted I would be all for it. But he will be gone in the first round. That leave Tony Pike as my choice.
