Fire Rhule - for real/non-spastic

A funny parallel is that what Rhule is doing with Darnold and PJ is what Tepper is doing with Rhule

Keeping him around, letting him do his thing, not changing for the better, but still waiting for something to click/work.

I feel like they’ve walked the line between patience and proactive decisions very poorly. Top down, Tepper to Rhule. Too quick/decisive with the wrong things, too indecisive and lacking vision with the important things. Examples being the QB carousel, the staff changes, improvements to the org/media/stadium, it’s just all kind of mishmash plan-less, trying to find the next big thing. How about build a plan and execute?

Like, I don’t even know the type of offense they want or are trying to build. It’s like they’re just putting random people around CMC and using him at %100000 until his next injury.

I also don’t get what type of QB they’d want for their undefined offense, again it’s just like they’re plucking all types and seeing who works. It’s all just erratic and tiring. Everything, top down.

Same happened with actually hiring Rhule..way too rushed a move, Tepper getting no extra help/other opinions on best candidates. Same happened with hiring Brady—“quick, biggest college name floating around…you’re hired! OC”

I legitimately do not know what he does well as an NFL head coach. Can anyone tell me?

From what I can see he’s a smooth talker who grifted a naive new owner into giving him a ridiculous contract with little to back it up.

He had 1 season of NFL experience prior to being hired as an NFL head coach, as an assistant position coach no less. Not a coordinator, not even a position coach, an assistant position coach.

He never beat a ranked team as head coach at Baylor, and beat one at Temple (and it was ECU which doesn’t really count)

What has Rhule done to deserve to be where he is? “Rebuild” the Baylor program? They didn’t beat a ranked team while he was there!

It is no surprise the Panthers have struggled since he arrived. It’s going to be another rough season. The schedule is harder than last year and I don’t see this team pulling out a miracle season.

If he is the head coach next year, without a playoff appearance in 2022, I might just give up on this team until he’s gone.

I said this hire was bad when it happened actually when it happened, all of the poo y’all are saying now I said then. Go find the posts. Y’all didn’t listen, but y’all will learn.

Rhule basically says a bunch of words and then hopes the players turn out to be good. That's basically college, convince better players to come to your team and you're automatically better than Rice or Kansas State level teams. He cannot give one ounce of criticism/advice to any players about technique or routes, anything tangible.

I said the same exact stuff. I made a whole post about how he’d be a failure because he was going to hire all his friends

He won over the richest NFL owner, which actually isn’t saying much. He knocked his opening presser out of the ballpark and players seem to like him and support him even though he has shown an obvious lack of being able to grasp the NFL game.

One thing I’ve been thinking about is what if this team wins in spite of Rhule and Tepper in all his infinite wisdom keeps him around? Do we have to hope that our coaching staff stays intact forever?

Aside from the ones he coached at Temple and Baylor, or who are only in the NFL because of Rhule (PJ Walker, Sam Tecklenburg, etc), what player do we know likes him?

Fug Rhule. Fire the bastard. Keep this thread rolling..

Most fans agree. Most fans agreed after last season.

Tepper has a soft spot for this guy who is ruining his franchise.

Just imagine how far in year three we would be if he'd hired Jim Harbaugh. Probably thinking about playoffs.

If Rhule is fired we basically have to start all over again. His hybrid players will likely have to go. Second "rebuild".

If he'd hired an NFL level coach in the first place we may have been so much further along than we are now.

What is certain is Jerry Richardson would have never hired Rhule for these exact reasons we are witnessing. He lacked the pedigree to be a NFL HC and it shows, it's screaming out lately.

When you consider his record and the fact he kept getting brought back, it sort of corroborated his story.

Not really.

Hue's always been full of sh-t. His continually getting brought back was because he was employed by an incompetent organization.
