Is he allowed to practice with the team during his game suspension? I feel like there was another player that was suspended recently but was able to practice with the team during the suspension. Was it Zeke?

welp the athletic just reported Watson agreed to 11 games.    That pretty much kills the Browns season

I think the judge wanted more but was bound by precedent.

The new CBA states all appeals go through the commissioner.

And likely could have had one, had they not agreed to negotiate the penalty with him.

Hell, if not for the public outcry, I wouldn't have been surprised to see them accept the six game recommendation that Robinson handed down. But once the backlash happened, all of a sudden it was "well, we are just appalled at this"

That's the part I find really stupid, and frankly hypocritical.

He should have been suspended longer.

That being said, if Davis Mills continues to improve as he did at the end of last season, that could be an interesting game. 

Also, if Davis Mills becomes a solid qb, the Texans made out like a bandit on this deal.  Got a qb, got rid of a problem child, and got a bunch of good draft picks.

Why the hell did they even go thru the whole charade of hiring that judge or whatever to hand out a discipline, if they were not going to follow what she suggested?  Talk about a gigantic waste of everyones time and money.

The precedent was 6 games for domestic assault, etc. I wonder if they expected her to hand down something like 6 games per case. So 6 x 4 games. 

Maybe she F’ed up.

Watson would appeal and Roger would reduce that to 1 full year.

Makes me wonder if Baker was hoping he’d play the first game so he could beat his azz. These are really competitive people after all and Baker does seem to have the proverbial chip on his shoulder. Ultimate revenge game.
