Would not even be news if we had a competent coaching staff. As is, was a question mark. Headline should have read:

Feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t hate how this was handled. 99% of his reps were at LT all camp and he was named the starter before preseason week 2. I don’t think it was the worst thing in the world to not just give it to him right of the bat. Yeah we all knew he’d be the LT but doesn’t hurt to at least act like there is some sort of earning that had to be done for a rookie. 

 

Rhule has a lot of head scratchers but this seems pretty normal to me

Floundering head coach goes into preseason with 4 QB's on the roster and gives meaningful preseason reps to the only one that a brain dead lemur on crack can see won't be on the team come opening day.

But there is no earning. Rhule is incompetent and has not been able to put any worthy competition there. Announcing it now is better than holding off just for that point and basically give the youngsters the impression you’re an idiot, although I am sure Rhule will prove it to them eventually anyways.
