Rhule on practice reps

If that's already decided, then giving him developmental time over a rookie is pretty dumb.

I think there is hope that Corral will improve and that he will be the future. But honestly the only thing I could speculate is that he is struggling with the mental part of the game and all the practice reps don't help if you don't know what you are doing. I guess we can see what happens this week after he gets reps on Thursday and Friday and plays a lot this week.

2020 doesn't count to me. In reality, this is Rhule's second year because 2020 was a waste for roster development and performance, in my opinion.

So, what you're saying is that Rhule's most successful season doesn't count?  Really?  That season we only had 3 losses by more than one score.  We were actually in those games for the most part.  If we had more than just a bridge QB, we probably would have won three more games.  TB5 was exactly what many folks thought.  A very solid backup.  He isn't going to lose many games for you, but unfortunately, he won't win many either.

Last season there were six losses by more than one score.  We were far less competitive.  Even the one score games, I never got the feeling that we had a chance to come back.  After the first three games, we never really looked like a team that was figuring things out.

2020 was a much more successful season, all things considered.  2021 was an unmitigated disaster.

again, how in the fug could that be determined when he is literally not getting any practice time/reps

Thats what we are trying to explain to you,  and also no other fuging team in the nfl is treating their drafted rookie qb this way.  Not one fuging team.  You cannot explain that

55 has said in the past that rhule would have lost the lockerroom if he did that.

I chuckled for 5 straight minutes after I read that post

Never said that. I did say he would if he tanked for draft picks. You like to.make stuff up when you can't debate on your own merits.

So long as we have 10 players on the practice squad who have not more than 2 accrued years, then the other 6 can be vets with no limits on experience. So Rhule could pretty much stash PJ on the practice squad for the rest of his career if he wanted. The reason would be because PJ and Rhule are secret lovers, or PJ has compromising pictures. J/K.

Not surprised. He's not interested in developing anyone. He just wants to try to do enough to not get fired.

I may be giving him too much credit when I say this, but maybe he's purposely limiting Corral so that if/when Mayfield/Darnold sucks this year he can use the QB position as another excuse for having another losing season.

You can't practice properly until you know what to do first. For example you can't audible if you don't know what the defense is doing and what you should do in every situation. So you watch the starters do it and learn by example. Once you have mastered that and watched then you get to do it on your own.  That is why his reps are mostly mental reps. Each week he should get more reps forst mental and then physical and when he runs the practice squad he will get more.

Corral isn't playing anytime soon. He's got all year to get reps.

I understand everyone wants to see an instant superstar but not happening.

Uh, no.  No he doesnt.  Once the season starts the bulk of the reps go to the starter, not the 3rd string.  He is going to run the scout team, which is basically worthless

again no other team in the nfl is doing what rhule is doing to corral.  Not one team.

This is been discussed before.   Then what the fug are we doing trading up to draft a project that is that far behind the other rookie qbs?   Do you not see the fallacy in your "argument"?

Because Fitterer is bringing in lots of guys looking for the one. It isn't me doing it I am just telling you what is happening since you seem so confused.
