How much playing time will Matt Corral get on Saturday?

Did a single team play their starters for a complete quarter last preseason in the first game?  How many played their starting O at all? 

 

 

Good point. I honestly don't remember anything about last year's preseason, though with only 3 games now I bet starters see some action in game 1 and 2 and none in game 3. Anyone remember what we actually did with the 3 preseason games last year?

starters only played in preseason game 3 last year.  

I don't have a problem w/ Icky or some unproven starters getting some odd reps.  Sam should of been playing last preseason.  He needed any work he could get. But I don't want DJ Moore and the likes out there playing a bunch of preseason games vs backups.

They have plenty of WR's to get a look at. Need to see Saunders do his slot thing against guys that are actually going to hit him before Rhule declares him a starter

CJ Saunders should play in every preseason game.  CJ Saunders isn't DJ Moore or Moton or CMC or Shaq, etc. 

Rivera isn't going to be playing his starting D the first half.

It's also a bit different this year since we have an open competition at QB (allegedly). Last year Sam was the clear cut starter and for some reason Rhule was babying him. Can't really baby Baker and Sam or they won't get enough reps to even compare them. Unless, as hoped, we are already set on Baker. I can't see us sitting them both for 2 games. One of them or both will see some time this weekend.

I mean, I'm just saying what I think happens, not what I want to see. 

Rhule already said he won't play one and not the other.      I just don't see how a HC can risk his starters for that long in preseason game 1 for a fake competition.  Everyone on the team already knows Baker is better.

I like this idea, but Rhule will probably play Sam first and then play baker with the 2s for like a full quarter. 

Then we will see a little bit of Matt and the rest PJ.
