Sorry, but that stupid to want Smitty succeed somewhere else. I prefer he does it here with how he's the best WR we ever has. Even when Jake wasn't perfect the last few years, Smitty can still get points & yards. Not this season so far, but in the past he has done it many time especially with an average QB like him. Smitty didn't get the Triple Crown for nothing. :thumbsup:

I understand becoming a fan of a team because of one player, but after awhile that love of the player needs to translate to the team. If it hasn't after this amount of time you are not a fan of the team and you can follow SS to Dallas and love them too, since most Dallas fans are Bandwagon fans anyway you will fit right in.

Like someone else said: Steve is the face of the franchise. He started as a mere return man here and earned the job as a WR and has been one of the most "electrifying" WR's since then.

Smith doesn't necessarily want to be in the HOF, he probably just wants to win.

Also, even if Steve was to leave, I would still wear his jersey every Sunday.

I have been a panther fan as long as the franchise has been around. However, right now, I am a Steve Smith fan first and foremost.

I can't stand to see a wide receiver who could have a hall of fame career be squandered year after year by the Panthers. I would love to see Steve Smith be traded to a team like New Orleans or The Colts so he could be a part of a productive passing game.

I see what you are saying. It sucks that he's had a bad QB for awhile without a good second receiver. He's constantly getting double covered. But don't forget that he has had some great years. And although his stats aren't the best, he has earned respect around the league as one of the best receivers in the NFL.

But to want him on another team is just plain stupid...sorry. I guarantee you that he doesn't care about his stats. He only cares about taking this team to the superbowl and winning it.
