I mean he was essentially suspended all of last year. No criminal charges, the fug y’all expect?

Last year he still got paid. This year he is only making one million. He had his contract setup this way because he knew it was coming. They should push those suspensions into 2023.

That was between him and the Texans last year.  Should have been suspended a year, anything less than double digit games suspended is a mockery.  He gets six games, thus mockery.

The victims got paid as well. He got 200 million guaranteed, there isn’t a reasonable fine that would have hurt his pockets at all. Laws/Rulings can’t be more severe because he’s rich.

And all of this is between him and the victims so why are you mad because a football player wasn’t punished to your satisfaction? Who the fug are you. Get over it.

It’s crazy that Calvin got a whole season for a negligible bet.

Yep, the NFL wants to set a hard line on gambling.   It will not be tolerated. Rape? Well, we (the NFL) will sit you in time out for a few games and then let you get back at it champ.

Bingo!  Rules for thee, but not for me.  So as long as his accusers got paid, the penalty was less severe.  If only Watson could have upped the sum enough to make this go away sooner, hell, he could have been starting week 1.

So for the equivalence of Derrick Brown, Star Lotuleli and Vernon Butler we could have had Watson and 6 game wrist slap had Mr. Brass Balls money talks just guaranteed his contract

 Yay for Baker / Darnold

Or CMC, Cam Newton, and Luke plus a huge portion of our cap dedicated to him.  It just depends on how you look at it.  Also we shouldn't want him on our team.  If the Browns want to put their head in the sand and act like he is not some creepy predator than let their team and fans do that.  I'll stick with Baker's immaturity or Corral's BS off field issues that were exaggerated for the draft.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
