I never got the feeling that the interest was that high. For him or for us.

For better or worse, I think the team believes they are far better at DE than the fans, media or most educated observers do.

Fitts the one that said he wants to bring a DE and DT in. He didn't specify why but I'd hope it's for rotation behind YGM/Brown/Ioaniddis. YGM had 4 sacks on 32% of the snaps so let the dude do his thing before he's not cheap anymore

To be fair, Fitterer has mentioned shoring up the D-line several times now. I think they see it as perhaps not an Achilles heel, but a real area of concern.

I mean if they didn’t want him bad enough to take him off the market then it is what it is. They know the risks, not sure how far apart they are.

You need depth there, they want to be able to rotate guys in and out.  Bringing in a vet, who is a proven pass rusher, is not going to hinder anyones development

TBD. We don't appear to have been pursuing anyone aggressively. 

Maybe they are targeting some post-TC cuts or trades.
